im goin for pavlik and for a long tim now the only scenario i saw was pavlik brutalizing taylor. but i now see this fight playing out 2 way either pavlik ko's taylor in brutal fashion or taylor speed kills pavlil. if taylor move and gives lateral move ments and uses his speed and keep his hands up then he can beat pavlik it might even look easy but im not sure he will do that i think he goes in ther and tries to slug it out not listening to MANNY .

He was rocked by Hopkins, who's hardly known for his crushing punching power, particularly late in his career. And since then, he's fought nothing but light-hitting fighters moving up from lower weight classes.:yep

I bet this hype job has been laid out cold in the gym on more than one occassion. I had the same sense about Fraudley before his glass jaw was exposed. I was right then, and I'm pretty darn confident I'll be right this time too.

I don't think this kid here takes a good punch, and that's why he's been fighting these lighter weight fighters. Pavlik's gonna show us why Taylor doesn't fight guys his own size!!

that is true he had a chance to fight miranda after miranda beat green but opted to fight spinks cuz dibella didn't want that . duva did all he could to protect taylor from power punches im not saying taylor as a fighter ducke but his promter stop that fight from happening. so now he has to fight pavlik or run .dibella was forced to make this fight cuz taylor was tired of being called yellow . dibella has no intention of taylor fighting power punchers

Please. You make it out like Taylor is some technician. He's a brawler just the same. That man has learned absolutely nothing being with Stewart. IMO Stewart only stays with him because he's on top and he likes him.

I wouldn't even be surprised to see Pavlik outbox Taylor. If all Taylor has is an excellent jab, he's gonna have issues landing on a longer opponent.

The real question here is whose dick is Jim Lampley going to suck this time.

Good vid...tho I think when showing Taylor's shortcomings vs Wright and Hopkins, ya have to keep in mind who those shortcomings were coming against.

Does Pavlik have the nessecary fundamentals to get Taylor trapped on the ropes the way Wright OBVIOUSLY does? Or does he have the defense to make Jermaine loop his right the way he had to vs Hopkins?

    I say no.

And looking at Pavlik's weaknesses (on the video), ya have to almost think that if Taylor attempts to employ those strategies, he will do it better and easier. I mean, even the biggest Taylor hater (cough Amsterdam cough) will tell you his jab and right hand are LEAPS AND BOUNDS better than Zertuche's and Miranda's (more powerful...no! but better, more compact and stronger....yes!).

Again, good video.....just didnt fully agree with it.

    Taylor UD.

people are judgeing what pavilk will do based on how taylor fought agianst winky and hopkins ... and they are judgeing how good pavilk will do judgeing on how he fought agianst a guy even more one dimentioned then felix trinidad ..... in miranda...

how else would they beable to justify picking someone like pavilik over taylor ...

Pavlik has also stated that he will not fight Taylor like he fought Miranda. Miranda is a puncher who loops his shots, so Pavlik had it easy just going right down the middle and staying inside of Miranda's power.

He'll use more head and foot movement against Taylor.

There is a problem with that tho....Pavlik has shown he has sloppy footwork and terrible head movement.

If he plans on fighting like that (which are FAR from his strengths), this fight is going to be more one sided then I expected.

What are you basing this statement off of? Which fights exactly?

The way he fought Zartuche and Miranda are not the ways he fought everyone. Both of those guys have wide punching power and it's typically better to go down the middle and stay close.

If you can name a fight or two where this is evident I'd like to see.
