its fair to say that many fights over the years have promised so much and delivered so little , tonight could possibly be the exception . golovkin v lemieux has the potential to be one of the greats and could shake the garden to its foundations . both fighters carry dynamite in their gloves and surely something has to give , if somehow this fight goes past 6 or 7 rounds it could really turn into an epic . i literally cannot wait for this
glad to see your excited about it, GGG is levels above Lemieux and I expect nothing more than an early KO win for triple G. GGG vs froch will be a classic fight imo, froch couldn't get motivated for GGG before, but a PPV fight on both sides of the atlantic in vegas could tempt him out of retirement.
Brutal fight Cant wait to se baaxings Golden Boy again Apprehensive though Write Lemieux off at your peril
Those "so many" fights that promised too much weren't between an overhyped fighter and an opponent with no hope. The favorite in those fights wasn't a 20 to 1 favorite either. You have to be severely mentally ill(a recurring case with GGG fans) to compare this fight with any other event that promised anything. This fight is tune-up quality and it's on PPV thanks to idiots like you.
hate on GGG all you like , at least hes active and brings excitement , something very few fighters can do anymore . but i will ask you one question , will you still call him overhyped if he destroys limieux and then destroys the winner of cotto/canelo next year and the winner of lee/saunders to become undisputed champ ? .... of course you will because you are a hater and want to match him with fighters out of his weight class like ward that will bore him to death in a 12 round jab and run bore fest and win a points decision and send every PPV fan to sleep . great business that atsch now maywether has apparently retired we are hopefully in a new era of boxing where fighters actually fight , golovkin brings that and thats good enough for me !!
I so very much wish I could be there tinight! unfortunately I will have settle for getting up at 3am to watch the card
No I won't. If he fully unifies and becomes the undisputed champion, there's really no room for hate unless it's baseless and purely biased. A new era where fighters "actually fight"?. Yeah, facing off against hopeless opponents seems to be "actual fighting" nowadays. What's the difference between Golovkin facing off against the likes of Rubio, Adama, Stevens...etc and Mayweather vs Berto?. We all know the difference, Mayweather is actually accomplished while those joke fights are serious business for Golovkin's career/record.
