Well let me speak in a manner in which you can understand... Yes I have followed Ward since Athens in 04.. I am a Bay Area Resident and like Ward far more as a person than I do as a fighter... Objectivity is honest..and to be quite honest I think the bump in support and confidence in Carl Froch is deserved after such a great performace.. I respect Froch, A for hyping the Ward vs Froch Final...B Fighting like a Warrior against Ward.. and C Graciously accepting defeat... He gave props to the better man that day... and Ward likewise said good things about Froch post fight... Understand this, I am not dismissing Froch... I am dismissing the Idea of people like yourself and a few other poster who would like to see a Ward vs Froch Rematch.. Since I like Carl Froch, and him being IBF champ gives hm the spotlight again, I would like nothing more than to hear him go back and forth with fighters in his boastful way.. Kessler is on his radar..Dirrell may be on his Radar.. But to see his IBF title reign end with a Rematch with Ward is something myself and other don't want to see.. If it happens, maybe Froch looks a lil better.. But so will Ward.. Thats the Truth.. What in your mind makes you think Carl Froch will do any better than he already has against Andre Ward.. Beating a Proud Champion in Bute ca't be it... There has to be some stronger evidence...
froch as 'it'. and as intangible as that sounds, as a reason for many believing he would do better against ward this time around, that is the reason im giving. i can confidently go on record as saying that many would like to see a return match now, after ward vs dawson and perhaps froch vs kessler (should both respective fighters win their bouts). i take nothing away from ward, nothing. he is one of the top fighters p4p on anyones list. what i do object to, is people limiting frochs level to this or that (i even saw a gatekeeper thread earlier). it seems, bar the ward fight, froch has always proved his naysayers wrong. i would never be one to deny a man who has constantly fought the best and, in many peoples opinions, who would deserve a rematch with ward (based on his heart and character alone).:good
Nottingham would give Froch the skillset that he lacked in the first fight against a broken left handed Ward.
Froch catches viral AIDS in other countries, but in Nottingham, the environment gives him a PED type of physical boost and increased boxing Pedigree.
Thats Fair.. I just want to see Ward vs Froch again based off of the first fight... And your right some of the threads started on this fourm are foolish.. I rate Froch #2 I take nothing away from him.. he just happend to get beat soundly by the #1 guy in his division and for his health it would be wise for him to stay away from Ward as long as he can.. only way I can see them fighting again is for a Unification...
It's a typical pattern that Froch, after a good showing, now is supposed to have a chance against Ward. Froch cant bully Ward like he did Bute. Ward is too tough and too skilled, and we have already seen that. So what can The Cobra do against him? Nothing, save perhaps lose in a valiant fashion. I think Kessler could give Ward more trouble, even though I see him lose again.
