Tonight! Marvin Sonsona v Wilfredo Vazquez!!!

    All I can say is "Wow" while it last's, you have 19 yr old Marvin Sonsona (14-0-1, 12 KOs) jumping 2 weight classes (115-122) lost his title because he could not make weight so lost his title and on top of that he is fighting Wilfredo Vazquez former champion's son Wilfredo jr (17-0-1, 14 Ko's) and in their home town, if you were a betting man you would think that the odds on this fight would be Wilfredo Vazquez -700 but it,s not
    it's at -135 almost even money. I think alot of people are going by whats on paper Vazquez to be more the power puncher because he looks to be the bigger man, but Sonsona scored some spectacular wins like tough Jose Carita Lopez in a title fight at 115 pounds. Ya Sonsona struggled late in his last fight I think he drained him self to get to 115 and he came in 2 1/2Lb heavy over the limit to lose his title on the scales but what you have to remember is he is a long linky kid 19 that is growing into his body so this is a normal thing and I really think he "will" bring his power and speed even better at this new weight. He can box and bang and has Fought 12 round a couple of times, Vazquez has fought 8 rounds one time.
    Wilfredo Vazquez is a good fighter but I "really" think that Sonsona is going to be the quicker and get in the harder punches of the fight. Sonsona is a Kid but he is a natural smart fighter and knows how to move in the ring. I see Sonsona Winning by KO.:deal

    Is a good fight my heart is with vazquez jr but my mind saids sonsona. Vazquez is either trying to convince himself that he belongs at this level or trying to intimidate sonsona. Vazquez has been talking too much and i dont like that because he's putting too much pressure on himself. Plus he can get out of his game plan easily, and i think that's whats gonna happen. Vazquez is going to try and make it a brawl and pressure sonsona. I see sonsona winning a UD after dropping vazquez once or twice during the fight. He has the better style and better boxing ability. Vazquez has a punchers chance plus he'll be at home and that will help him make the fight interesting but he wont pull it out. Hope im wrong though i'll be pulling for vazquez.

    Cant wait for the fight and wish it wasnt ppv....

    My official pick was vasquez but with most other people taking sonsona im starting to feel a little stupid, i guess im just hoping that Vasquez is more imposing inside the ring and Sonsona isnt used to taking the kind of punches that Jr is going to be laying on him, and with his intensity and seemingly will to win, hopefully that can propel him to a victory.

    starting to think though that i should have went with sons....

    you dont have to change your pick because what other think, this is a hard fight to pick and there're a lot of different scenarios that could happen and some of those scenarios could have vazquez winning at the end

    Interesting :think I guess we will see then. I wouldnt mind sonsona winning at all, to me it just seems like you say hes biting off a bit more then he might be able to chew especially as hes going to be in a new weight class.

    We shall see... cant wait.

    Very true man, very true. I just figure most of the people picking know more about these fighters then i do, but we will see. Another thing is its in Jr's backyard.... so it could make it tough for sonsona to get a decision if its close. who knows.

    i hope its a good fight and both of them do themselves proud.
