So he suffered a bloody nose from a world class reigning champion who is MUCH BIGGER and STRONGER at 154 lbs. Why are people making a big deal about this? It doesn't take much to get a bloody nose. A single jab if landed in the right spot is easily capable of doing much worse than Mayweather experienced tonight.

Agreed and as a Floyd fan it was worrying to see although to be fair Cotto tagged the ring post more than a few times before he finally caught Mayweather and even then it wasn't flush.

Just wish Floyd had stayed off the ropes and kept the fight in the centre of the ring for the duration and where Cotto had nothing.

Floyds had a bloody nose before, the only thing different is this nose ran a bit more, cause Cotto hit him with some nice jabs in the face.

because before the fight, all the esb experts had floyd not even breaking a sweat on his way to a ko win. when the reality is that he got smacked around pretty good by a guy who hasnt had a top shelf win in years and was nearly made ******ed by a little guy who used to fight at a buck o six.

Floyd's nose structure would be nearly impossible to break. His nose doesn't have a defined line to break so to make it bleed in the manner that it did was quite the feat.

No one's come close to making Floyd look that busted up since Emmanuel Augustus.

I think the fact that 24/7 in the past has made guys out to be reinvented and they prove not to be made people, myself included, feel that the fight would be more one sided. Diaz probably played as big of a factor as anything for this one.

Despite a 9-3 score, Cotto was very competitive in many of the rounds he lost.

so true. Mayweather fans were also saying it was going to be like Gatti TKO or KO win for Mayweather. Floyd was hit and exposed though.

You win a fight and drop 3 rounds at most and you're "exposed"?

Damn, I need to follow a new sport.

Thats what I thought and IMO it would of been had Mayweather found he uppercut a lot earlier.

I stated throughout years here, Mayweather would kill Cotto with uppercuts.

Once Mayweather used it, he was tagging Cotto very good. And it was what rocked him.
