i went to the pub to watch it as i had nothing to do, otherwise i would be on here for them 3 hours reading everyones replies.... the fights were shocking.... to a certain extent only 2 fights really deserved something of an applause, and that was the kane mackay vs daniel baff fight which was great toe to toe battle and hoppa getting his revenge on fitzgerald and being the first to stop him....
hoppa has improved his movement, however he doesnt jab and i dont think completely listens to his corner but he is very strong....
haumono needs to step it up way to strong and powerful i feel for anyone in australia...... except for maybe a mark de mori or leapai.....
hoppa's most interesting moment came when after his fight he yelled something out to a group in the crowd and was really saying osmething no idea what??? would be interesting to find out all in all a crap card.... main event dont get me started shocking.........

Yer it's a funny world where you have to pay the same amount to see the pound for pound champ fight and a dickhead who thinks he is. Oh well 07' has thrown up some awesome fights with katsidis coming to real prominence and some historically significant mayweather bouts, hopefully 08' gives us some more gems and less of this mundine ****.

    Hmmm's 2 cents:

Mitrevski Jr - Where did they manage to dig up the clown he fought against???!!! My f*#king goodness!!! He starts walking around with the ring girls between rounds. Clumsy Fool!!! But to be honest, he totally took the limelight away from Peter. Everyone will remember this fight for the Bozo Thai guy.

Hoppa. Improving but will never be anywhere near world class. Sorry Dino. There is no point in any fighter totally puffing themselves out in the first 3 rounds. They cant all be butterbean! But Hoppas defence is on the improve.

Haumono. Good easy win, but he really does need to step it up for the next fight. Cant wait to see him facing some quality opposition. He throws his rights with lightning speed.

Choc --- Meh. Did anyone expect that Monobrow to win? Seriously? Didnt trouble choc once throughout the fight. But one thing can be said, Choc's uppercuts have never looked better.

I walked past the SEC at around 9:30 and talked to a few guys in the smoking area and they ended up giving me some free tickets so me and the missus went. It was pretty cool, I've never been to a boxing fight before. Hearing the punches thud home gives it that extra element that is lost when watching it on tv. Haumono's KO looked great.

Hoppa looked totally dominant in his win. I can't believe he lost to him the first time. Haumono's KO looked great, but his opponent was a walking corpse.

Mundine looked alright I guess. Got the job over pretty quick and didn't really get into trouble.

yep , you do get a better idea of speed/movement /power when you watch a fight live .
i was lucky enough to live about 4 miles from the york hall which had boxing fortnightly and i went for about 10 years.
