@ 11pm EST/8pm Pacific on UniMas, instead of any live boxing, they will rerun Juan Manuel Lopez vs. Rafael Marquez from 2010 followed by Mikey Garcia vs. Bernabe Concepcion from last March. IMO, this is a brilliant doubleheader to whet our appetites for their upcoming clash in two weeks on HBO and to provide ample grounds upon which to base analysis in breaking it down. That, and just a hell of an entertaining pair of wars from the video archives. Of all their opposition, these are the ones they've faced most similar to each other. In the case of Concepcion, you have a powerfully built tank, shorter than Garcia but more thickly muscled, aggressive with a reckless streak that sometimes gets them in trouble. If Concepcion were a southpaw you could almost call him a poor man's Lopez. In the case of Marquez, you have a precision-punching boxer-puncher with the skill and smarts to counter but with that Mexican spirit lurking within telling him to guerra, guerra. The Raf who fought Lopez plus a bit more caution and minus being almost shot is fairly close to approximating what Garcia is now. There isn't really any live boxing worth mentioning this weekend (just Hernan Marquez vs. Carlos Tamara in a crossroads 10-rounder on Azteca, which should be over before Solo Boxeo even goes on air) so TUNE IN! If you missed either one, it is new to you!
It's the same channel that used to be called Telefutura, just rebranded. Did you get Telefutura before?
Not really "great". All three of them are in mismatches. The only vaguely competitive match is Braulio Santos vs. Derrick Wilson, and Santos will probably knock Wilson out.
We did, but it was a pay Station. It was not part of the basic cable package. practically every cable company offers it. but oh well there are other ways to watch, I guess.
