The undercard was AMAZING! and the end of the mayweather ortiz fight will have the casuals buzzing about this fight for weeks. You might hate the result........you might love the result..... regardless, if you dont realize how much buzz boxing is going to get because of this, you're ******ed. Thank you floyd. Thank you larry. Thank you victor. Long term, we now have 2 BIG fights that can happen. Ortiz vs mayweather, and of course pac vs mayweather. So if pac wins his fight in november, why not stack the card (which they will do) and have berto vs ortiz 2, and have the winner face the winner of pac vs may? People keep bitching about the final of the card..............but ask yourself. In the past 8 years, have people been talking about boxing like they are tonight?
Tonight was a horiable night for boxing. Say good bye to more and more casual fans to MMA. This crap has to stop! At least they have set rules and none of this vague protect your selves at all times except when I tell you not to and even after I tell you not etc. etc. etc. Bottom line no one really knows if it was legal or not because the rules are so damn vague.
you are an idiot the casual fan is talking about this fight which is a good thing people are going to watch mayweather fights even more now
The casual fans probably think floyd is a major cheat if that was the first floyd fight they ever watched. Thats not good for boxing.
No it wasn't :rofl:rofl:rofl The first fight, Lopez-Vargas was a robbery. The second fight Cano-Morales was bogus as it was for the WBC title. The third fight Alvarez-Gomez was a premature stoppage and a **** fight anyway. The fourth fight ended with Floyd being a ****.
Yeah i'm sure the people who paid $60-70 for this PPV are so satisfied!! How anyone could consider a cheap shot which abruptly ENDS a main event to be an amazing thing for the sport is beyond ******ed. Controversy is only is good when it PROMOTES a fight, not when it ENDS one. Who wants to watch somebody get KO'd while they're standing with their arms at their waist and looking in a different direction? That sure as hell isn't going to bring in fans. Now... if Floyd had KO'd Ortiz at the pre fight staredown I would understand your point.
people will be talking rematch for the next 2 weeks that dont know a bit of boxing. You dont think thats true, you are a ****ing ******. BOO ****ING HOO! the ending wasnt a floyd UD....Fact of the matter is, MORE PEOPLE ARE TALKING ABOUT BOXING THAN THEY HAVE FOR A LONG TIME. Thats why we are all here isnt it? BECAUSE WE WANT BOXING TO BE BIG BECAUSE WE LOVE IT?! Stop being idiots, tonight was unreal for boxing. I dont like to say "you are wrong if you disagree" but, seriously, how can you be right if you dont agree? Floyd was en route for an absolute domination...Instead, Ortiz is one of the most twittered names out there BECAUSE HE ****ING LOST!!!! Stop being ******s, this is amazing for boxing, and no one in mainstream media gives a **** about who won or lost...its how ortiz lostl. Mayweather just made himself the ULTIMATE heel against the ultimate boxing good guy Manny PACMAN pacquiao. ****ing deal with it
Agreed, sport is an entertainment for fans and this was as entertaining as it gets, right down to the post fight interview. Who gives a **** if some fan boys are disgruntled?
You are a ****ing idiot. Such things have never been good for sport. The image of corruption in boxing has damn hear killed the sport. This wont help that image.
Some people actually enjoy the 48 or less minutes of BOXING that we get in between the 5 months or so of verbal diarrhea. Why would you consider the main event being basically cancelled to be entertaining? Yeah, so stick with pro wrestling; I hear the refs love to turn their backs when the wrestlers get cheapshots. You'd love it!
