Tonight you saw why PBF will NEVER, EVER fight Margarito

Yes, I absolutely do.

I could see a scenario where PBF won, but I don't think it would happen.

Nothing stops Margo. He has a concrete chin and as much as PBF would pivot and move, Margo would just overwhelm him with volume, size and strength.

Hatton's hand and foot speed bothered PBF, yes. But it was the pressure that was the thing. The constant pressure.

I thought Hatton was doing fairly well, but he got caught. There is no chance, except for cuts, that PBF would KO Margo, so he would have to take a huge amount of punches and muscling to survive, let alone win.

I think Margo is the guy. In a couple of years, I would say it would be Williams, but not yet.

I think PBF beats Cotto, always have. And I think he will fight Cotto next.

 

Ha, ha. You have to be kidding. Baldi can't throw in volume (especially when he was, what, 35 when he fought PBF?) like Margo can, and he's just not as relentless and just plain nasty.

I respect Baldomir, especially after he punked Gab, but that was about as easy of a fight as PBF will ever have.

Margo is a totally different, much higher workrate fighter than Baldomir. He's also in his prime. Baldomir doesn't have enough power. He's good at a lot of things but not good enough at any one thing and at his age, he just could not connect on PBF.

Baldi -- in his best days -- couldn't have put anything like the destruction that Margo laid on Golden Johnson. And if Baldi -- or pretty much anyone at WW -- had fought the Paul Williams who came to fight Margo, they would have dropped from sheer exhaustion, let alone punches they took.

Margo isn't pretty, he's not so fast. He's just iron-chinned, super-willed and hits like a truck. He throws a zillion punches and is in your chest all night.

PBF won tonight, and he gets props. But if a 140 guy muscled him like that, Margo would just maul him.
