There's a reason Hearn let him go. When he was made out on Sky as the GB captain it was cringeworthy, he's rubbish.
It's bad enough to get that sort of finish in a four rounder against a Romanian roadsweeper. In a world title fight it's unforgivable.
Cracking nights entertainment, let's be honest. The crowd were pumped and Beefy really did the business. High octane stuff. I'm off to bed.
Obviously Frank didn't want any snide comments from the likes of Hearn about attendance which means I got in for a fiver. They put us high up but before the Stalker fight we noticed the £80 tickets had loads of empty seats so moved. £80 tickets for a fiver, small bar queues and a couple of decent fights so I'm not complaining.
Bas****! If I new they were letting people in for a fiver I would of popped down. How did you find out? Did you just go down to pay on the door and get a nice surprise? Regarding stalker he's come on 10fold since his pro debut. I feel if he had a bit more power he would be a right up their with the likes of coyle and mathews. Mablethorpe even Campbell.
Steve Lillis retweeted on Twitter about it. Frank put a number of tickets up for a fiver with all proceeds going to Parkinson's disease. Watching live, Stalker looked very good to be honest. As you say, the problem is power he landed some excellent shots last night and in the first Evans fight. I'm convinced if he had more power he'd have knocked both of them out.
There was a big curtain up covering up 1/4 to a 1/3 of the arena. I would say the expensive tickets were half full at a push and the cheaper ones were well less than half full. Bellew card last week played a big part I think.
Cheers mate yea it almost certainly would have played a part. I can remember going to the derry mathews fight against tony luis,it has to be the most poorly attended arena show i've been to. A big reason for this was that it was the week after the aintree racing festival so everyone in liverpool was obviously skint! Frank needs to check his calender before picking his dates.
