I have only seen the last 4 rounds of Williams-margo. But the take away for me from tonight was that Roy was able to beat a good prospect fairly clearly. Sure Hanshaw is not a big name (yet) but he is a real fighter. He got in the final of the recent fight off and he had some expectations on his shoulders. Roy is imo. not all he was, but he showed that he is far better at 168 than 175 and above. Tarver is a sorry excuse for a fighter and Roy losing to him was sad. Now Roy is back.. well, not to his best, but good enough to really make some waves I think. Who knows maybe he can be competitive with the best. At least I think he would have a good chance at beating the current IBF champ. The Willaims-Margo fight was close, but mostly because Williams was fighting a dumb fight. He was not using his head for too much in there. He has all the physical advantages but still let Margo (who himself is fairly limited) threaten him. Maybe nerves or something but Williams looked like he has some extremely long arms and that is basically it. Margo looked more experienced, but didn't really have the tools to negate even Williams poor use of his extreme reach.
well in the first six Williams took Tony to school. winning all 6 rounds. I think that he started to fade abit. His punch output didnt go down but he stopped moving as much, which is what allowed Tony to be in better range to land his shots.
