Anybody watch this? ****ing surreal the bits i've seen so far. The story about the guy killing a dog with his bare hands has only been topped by Dillian Whyte wanting to congratulate his friend and when asked why he said cos his son had been ill, didn't even say he'd got better. Oh and Kevin Mitchells analogy about the dog. Not quite as odd as the Herbie Hide condom story though.
I rarely watch it anymore after Bunce allowed a 15 year old kid on the phone to discuss boxing for ten or so minutes. So, so random.
I can't see that one ever being beaten to be honest, it was just jaw-dropping tv IMO. The only guy IMO who could perhaps top that would be Eubank, he very rarely fails to disappoint; anyone remember some of the things he said when on Sky?!!:bbb
A few months a go now mate. It was surreal; Buncey had Hide on the phone live, if memory serves he was discussing a possible comeback. Buncey mentioned something about a recent news article that had spoke of an assault at his house, Hide said it was a party but he wasn't there?! Hide then proceeded to say somethig about condoms, something about he couldn't put one on with one had I think!!!! I can't actually remember what he said, I just remember being shocked, the look on Buncey's face was priceless, and don't forget it was going out live! I was fully expected there to be some sort of come back in the media, but I didn't notice anything.
2:45 ish in this video, brilliant tv lol [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NUuP1B1qxFo&list=HL1346717866&feature=mh_lolz[/ame]
[ame]http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=DR1BmRvYCww[/ame] The Mike Tyson one often overshadows the crazy situation with a bearded hypnotist before the first Collins fight. Basically Collins employed a hypnotist and Eubank objected on the grounds that Collins would not know when to give up as he'd be hypnotised to be imperious to pain. There was a very real threat on the day of the fight that Eubank would pull out and he was only talked into fighting by Sky who were paying him shedloads at the time. Needless to say this wound Eubank up no end and he lost the fight.
Used to watch it until Bunce started slating everything that isn't ****** and defending everything that is ****** aka Nathan Cleverlys horrendous excuses for title defences
Either that or he gave him a couple of free tickets. I've heard Collins recently saying that he wasn't hyponotised at all and he just wanted to mess with Eubank's head.
Yes, I'm pretty sure it was a recent episode of 'Ringside'; if memory serves me he was sat with Barry McGuigan and the subject of the Eubank fights came up. I do remember Collins said quite clearly that he didn't really believe the hypnotist did anything, he did it to wind up Eubank!
I must admit I am struggling to think of any real characters in the sport, specifically the British game, that would do that. Maybe Tyson Fury? Nobody can deny he is a 'character'!
