Was there no way to get JT's ear drained before the fight? Amazing that thing didn't pop immediately.

The really really sad thing about this is that, as an MMA fan, this is one of the attributes of MMA that I routinely tout as better than boxing.

As a fan of UFC (and to a much much lesser degree pride, but pride was still better by and large than boxing) I can watch competitors consistently face very very real challenges that are real threats in every fight. Few fights in the UFC are "tune-ups" or "build up" fights, they do exist, but not nearly at the level that they do in boxing.

Also, in the UFC, no matter WHO Dana White wants to win the fight, the outcome will be fair and the referee doesnt favor one fighter over the other. Does the UFC have bad decisions sometimes? Sure. I thought Griffin beat Ortiz but the judges disagree, I also though Hammil beat the hometown favorite Bisping. Does it have early stoppages sometimes? Sure. The second Shamrock-Ortiz fight was definitely stopped early. Nonetheless, the UFC DOES have a sense of honor in that their fights are as fair as they can make them, and arguably, all of their referees and judges decisions can be argued, even if I disagree.

**** GARY SHAW! I don't want corrupt money grubbing boxing promoters destroying my favorite sport. I don't want the "name" fighters to get gift decision after gift decision and have easy paths to success. MMA fans don't NEED their fighters to be undefeated to love them. If Randy Couture was a pro boxer and he had the record that he has he wouldnt even be considered a journeyman. I would have respected Kimbo for the skills he developed in a very very short time win or lose, but I HAVE to dislike him considering all of the favoritism that he is obviously being shown.

EliteXC can never compete with the UFC until it is more LEGITIMATE. I don't want to watch fixed outcome professional ****ing wrestling, I want legitimate MMA, and this first broadcast was a slap in the face.

I know right? An icecube and an insulin needle and its not an issue, or at least not a ****ing time bomb. Icecube optional.

At least it means hes training grappling, thats the first time hes ever had it.

God I wish Thompson would have KO'd that guido **** and soccer kicked his head back to the Jersey shore.
