You can't provide any citation for the Tony Ayala "quotes" in your original posts because he never said it.

It's a complete fabrication. You made it up.

Sad. That means every one of your historic thread posts lack credibility. You'll make up anything if you think it supports your point.

You make up a quote to "prove" that someone else allegedly fabricated a sparring session.

Pathetic.

It might be that I still hold that opinion Pepe but not because of anything posted in this thread. Sorry Pepe, but you've been caught out it seems buddy.

You'll just have to punch in Miguel Perez, The Cumberland County News.

Scroll through his name and articles and you'll find it.

Th quote does not exist.

Again, I don't believe the sparring session happened either. But that isn't the point -- the point is Ayala NEVER said what you quoted him as saying.

You FABRICATED it, Pepe'. Everyone on this forum now knows you make things up and have ZERO credibility.

You'd be better served to admit it. At least then you would have a shred of dignity.

I Never Sparred With Pipino Cuevas

Was not the name of the article, it was in the interview, along with other statements.

You made up the Ayala quotes.

There is no such interview or article. It does not exist.

Two points:

1.) If you say you were actually quoting Ayala, Pepe, then you certainly knew you would be called on for a citation. If you find it, "Checkmate" on the critics. If you can't, they get to keep being critics and you only poured fuel on a raging fire.

2.) It doesn't change the fact that you largely and effectively debunked the whole Cuevas-Ayala sparring session through logic and research. No need to "frame a guilty man" ala LAPD and O.J.

Here is one of the articles that Miguel Perez was writing about, after
one writer printed that Tony Ayala Jr., when he was 13 years-old, not
only sparred with Pipino Cuevas, but floored him.

http://search.yahoo.com/r/_ylt=A0oG7m4MyYtQLDUAA2FXNyoA;_ylu=X3oDMTEzMW92bnBvBHNlYwNzcgRwb3MDMTQEY29sbwNhYzIEdnRpZANERlI1Xzc4/SIG=12589i0ju/EXP=1351367052/**http%3a//www.cyberboxingzone.com/boxing/box5-99.htm

And also, from a re-release of an article in a 1992 Knockout Magazine piece
about The Knockout Artists, including Tony Ayala Jr.

The original article was released in the January 1983 Knockout Magazine, from
a rehashed Main Events publicity story that was used to help promote
Tony Ayala Jr. back in June 1980, when he turned professional.

Where Phil Berger stated that now a 14 1/2 year-old was thrown into the ring
versus Pipino Cuevas in a San Antonio Gym.

Berger wrote, that after a 'wild' 2nd Round in the sparring session, Tony Ayala Sr.
asked his son if wanted to continue. El Torito said yes, and went out for the
3rd-Round and proceeded to pummel Pipino Cuevas all over the ring.

The story was written with a very generalized account, depsite it being what was
called as an infamous sparring session, 'that no one saw', except Tony Ayala Sr.,
and Tony Padilla, a San Antonio Fight Promoter, who promoted the Ayala Brothers.

So where exactly are the quoutes you used? Because all of those articles actually mention the sparring session as fact.

Did you just skip over the sections where Cuevas, Ayala, and two texas reporters say it never happened?

How sad. Did you believe you were just going to post two articles and we would never read them and you could get by claiming you pulled those quotes from them?

You said you could punch in "Miguel Perez, The Cumberland County News" and this magical non-existent interview where Ayala admits the sparring session never happened would pop up. If its that easy do it and post the actual link here. Not some general articles about Ayala that have nothing to do with this discussion.
