Many fighter's had that seem animal instinct in them . Prime Golovkin and Kovalev example. The diff between them and Ayala they could switch off once they left the ring.

The guy Ayala has zero chance against is/was Hearns. Tommy bomb him out early. Ayala cradled that left arm at his waist---wide open from the start of the fight for Tommy's right hand missiles. but that division had a lot of tough hombres on the way up & I sure don't think that helps Tony's chances whatsoever.

I think this match would be a great example of a fight coming down to heart, who wanted it more and who took it better. Moore showed real heart and determination against Weir, Kalule, Guiden and indeed Duran. Ayala is unproven on this front and doesn't have much behind him when it comes to beating proven contenders.

This doesn't mean Tony loses and he did beat plenty of guys quite conclusively. I think this grey area however gives Moore a lot better than an outside chance. I would make him a minor favorite or even money at worst based on this.

It's an open fight for me and i wouldn't overly debate against either side.

He was an aggressive fighter and he would have made fights tough for anyone probably but he was wide open defensively and he would be beaten by the top guys who were sharp and quicker..

Kirkland Laing also used his superior foot movement and hand speed to befuddle Duran.

    You mean Yori Boy.

And that was a much degraded version of Ayala. I thought Ayala performed well in that fight considering he'd been away from the game for 17 years.

James Hardrock Green would also deal Ayala a serious defeat.

I don't know about that, but it would have been a great fight. They were both managed by Duva, though so wouldn't have fought.

which was Duran's weakness. But if a guy stood in front of him Duran would figure it out and take over.

Never been impressed with footage of him.

A myth. Talented? Sure. I reckon Moore would’ve executed him.

Yes. Think about it, the man gave Mugabi and Fletcher fits, and probably had the experience to frustrate and take Ayala down the stretch.

Yory Boy was also no spring chicken. And he beat Ayala pretty good.
