Moore is far more (pardon the pun) proven, physically more imposing and looked better on film. I pick him to be the first to expose Ayala who was never anything special, what do his fans actually think he did well? I wish Duran got his hands on Ayala because he would have punnished his come forward style by countering with brutal right after brutal right before knocking him out and then we wouldnt have heard all this BS about what a bad ass Ayala was because he was nothing special

 

Ayala would of beat duran and moore, tony would of took moore apart to the body, and he would of beat duran maybe stopping him late, to see how good ayala was he comes out of prison after doing 16 years and was one win awy from a title fight, dundee called him the greatest prospect he had ever seen, the guy was a freak of nature

 

opinions over who would win this match leaned heavily towards Tony by brutal devestation-according to the experts.

How would Davey stop him? How would ANYONE stop him? Tony even said if he' d fought Duran he'd have had 2 KO him in the first 3/4 rounds or he'd lose on points, he said his plan would have been 2 just go nuts 4 every second ov the round & hope he could overwhelm Duran early as said if Duran got past 4/5 rounds he'd lose, pretty honest ov him:good

Duva had many fighters in his stable including Taylor, Whitaker, Holyfield. why compare TA to the worst fighter he ever managed? There's nothing similar between the two.

I favor size and strength and youth over experience and pudginess. This would have been a case of out with the old and in with the new; a new chapter in boxing would be written.

As for Moore, I never liked his chances. Tony punches holes thru him similar to the Aquino fight. He'd finish on his feet just as he did in the Duran fight with the ref rescuing Davey from further punishment

 

ayala isnt that big. he was a strong aggressive bull like fighter but moore had a bit of everything and wasnt a small guy either. duran was level with moore till he outjabbed him and then pulled him apart. ayala CANT do that. he doesnt have the ring craft or agility to counter him. all he has is an aggressive style to me that is not a tactic that prooves at the hieghest level. never has never will

 

The thumb to the eye was Davey's downfall. Everybody knows about the thumb

As for countering Moore, that's not even an issue here. A jab isnt necessary to win. I look at the Aquino fight and see how Lupe punched holes thru him. I was impressed with the way he tore up him up on the inside. Moore doesnt even bother getting out of the way

No question here Tony does the same-it's just a matter of time

 

Yes, I've always believed Tony would've put out Duran in 5 rounds. I give Davey Moore a similar amount of time before he succumbs to Tony's bombs.

 

If anyone brings up that Tony wouldnt have the skills to match jabs with Davey, just point out the Aquino fight
