Hmmm..Quite interesting this one. Lopez fought the better fighters and proved himself against them. Tony is the bigger, stronger and more intense fighter. Lopez' chin was very good though and his power was very impressive aswell. I think they are fairly evenly matched overall but the size and intensity of Ayala would probably be the difference in a fight between two physical punchers. Ayala beats out a decision over the pot-smoking surfer.
Jose the tough welter would slug it out with El Torito. This is not wise when up against Tony Ayala. Lopez finds that out the hard way upon getting his head knocked into the next universe.
