Who woulda won between the two young, powerful bulls with outside of the ring issues.

This match-up has the potential to be a war. Tony is better schooled with a better right hand. Both have great left hooks and good chins. I'll go with Hilton mainly because his career played out and Tony went to jail just as he was entering his prime. Tony had the potential to surpass the level Hilton reached.

Hilton. Stoppage later half of the bout.

Hard to imagine but he actually has the better defense. Not too often you get that as an advantage in Hilton matches. Loser of the bout would go out bad & kind of a career on the downslide sort of bout.

Hell of a fight. I pick Hilton in 4 or 5 rounds. I loved Hilton's left hook. Tony was strong, but he was never tested. Hilton actually fought an old legend. Benitez. Sad fight to watch.

    I disagree about defense.

Ayala was better schooled defensively. He was better schooled in general.

However, Hilton definitely seemed to have a better chin.

Nope. Ayala cradled his left hand at his waist. Zero head movement. But that constant rocking of that left hand that low was a huge defensive flaw.Swung it back and forth at his waist. At least Hilton held his hands up. Ayala even held his right hand low as well but not as bad as that left hand of his.

Ayala was still green the version that was going to fight Moore . For that reason i go for the more seasoned and proven Hilton . Hilton tko in 10 rds.

Hilton in 11 rounds, but it would definitely be a war.
