Jeez...What a killer match-up! I'll have lean towards Mickey Ward in a war! I'll take Ward by decision...his body punching down the stretch slows Baltazar down...tough tough contest.
I have to agree with you......and this is becoming one of my favorite fantasy matchups as well.....I watched some Ward fights today and Baltazar/Blake and thought it would be pretty intriguing....thanks for the reply! :thumbsup

I think Baltazar would win a close decision in a war. I saw Micky come up a little short against guys like Antonio Diaz and Ricky Meyers. I think Tony had more skills, was tough enough to go to war in the trenches with Micky, and would come out on top. That left hook to the liver always looms to bring Micky back though. Remember the Alfonso Sanchez fight from 1997? Ward was getting beaten from ring post to ring post and roared back from certain defeat with one shot to the liver. Sanchez went down as if he was shot. That said, I'm still picking Baltazar here in a barnburner. Baltazar by majority decision in a fight of the year candidate.
