If I was Afolabi I would be pushing for the winner. He'd eat up both Bellew and Cleverly.

    Bellew wasn't a late replacement.

He was meant to replace Braehmer who pulled out, that's when they had the bust-up at the press conference, but then Bellew couldn't do the weight.

Then they fought each other whilst having full training camps, later on in the year.

Agreed about Ola.. Would be a good chance to make some money on home soil maybe a bit of name recognition towards the end of his career.

Not to mention that the round in which Bellew was hurt ended about 15 seconds early.

It was a good stoppage but it was a stoppage over a very faded and dare I say shot version of a someone who at his best was only ever fringe world class level.

To be fair he had two weeks to train for a 12 round fight. Most fighters would have be dead at the weight. He had 18lb to shift in 2 weeks……

Not even a bellew fan but i believe him when he said he was dead at the weight.

He didn't have two weeks. Complete myth.

He failed the weight for the first fight.

Good post. Must admit although he does make me cringe at times I'm a fan of bellew and going to the fight. Personally I think the weight was affecting him and let's face it numerous ppl tried to tell him (pretty sure he had discussions on here with ppl about it). I think it's a case of the weight loss was affecting him but because of perceive advantages at LHW i.e reach he stuck around there longer than he should have. He obviously has more power at cruiser based on last 2 fights, can't say anything on Nathan's power or punch resistance at cruiser because his opponents haven't really shown us anything about him.
