Interesting fight to test the waters at CW...or HW. I like it for Ward. Bellew is no push over at all.

You don't need to be RJJ to beat Bellew lol... Why are so you OCD about GGG? As if you can't enter an argument without bringing his name up and attempting to draw an equivalency lol. Ward can easily outbox him regardless of the size or power discrepancy, also Bellew doesn't laugh at anyone's power.. He's a known to be chinny and has been dropped by light hitters like Ovil McKenzie at LHW - even domestic level fighters and journeymen! Also are you really trying to make this this seem like Ward is moving up and facing a bonafide and proven HW? LOL no. He's facing Bellew and ex-LHW who ate his way up the weight classes, and is at best a CW. Ward will have massive advantages in ring IQ, speed and while not the heavier handed fighter here it's not a leap to suggest that he can hurt the defensively inept and proven chinny Bellew at some point.

The real reason Ward is doing this should be obvious. There are no viable and realistic big money fights left at LHW, so he's doing the next best thing and moving up in weight to take a fight that will earn him a lot of money while being a lot less risky than taking on Usyk, Gassiev, Breidis, Joshua, Wilder or Parker. Taking on one of those guys would be daring to be great as you put it, this is a carefully thought out decision where risk-reward was factored into things.

It's an ok fight all things considered... But get real.

I feel like Ward has unfinished business at 175, so I'm a bit disappointed.

That said, Danny "Stuntman" Wheeler UD Pretty Ricky Conlan. Adonis Creed eagerly awaits the winner.

I think we all know why that fight won't happen.

Ward and his team seem a bit delusional (Joshua fight, previously saying he could beat a Klitschko, I believe), but when the rubber hits the road they're not going to sign up for what would seem a sure Ward "L".

There are like 8-10 fighters from LHW to CW who are better than Bellew.

This is just a money fight

LOL at the poster who compares this fight to Canelo vs GGG

If you want to mention GGG than its more like GGG vs Kell Brook , a easy money fight

If Bellew Ward gonna happen its gonna be in the UK, I have nothing against it, I'd watch it

Perfect time for Ward to go up, LHW has a lot of hungry wolves waiting for their chance to bite and ALL the BiG PLAYERS at CW will be participating in WBSS

Funny thing is its Bellew who asked for it. $$$$$$$$$$$

The poor fker told Hearn ' I'll fight him for my WBC' haha

What WBC ??? He vacated it to avoid Maris Breidis

Good fight. People are praising Ward because he's come from 168, not because Bellew is some amazing fighter. He likes to feel out the division before fighting bigger threats, and that's smart.

Eh, relax. He didn't fight Kovalev straight away either. And he made it clear during an interview that he'd cherry pick a cruiser or a heavy.

Pretty good fight. Better than kicking around the division and praying Stevenson grows a pair.

Not sure what people want from Ward. He moved up and fought Kovalev twice. Best fights that could be made in boxing and they did ~150k PPV each. He needs big fights that expand his fanbase even if they are a bit of a spectacle.

Its not cuz of Stevenson. The Pimp wants the fight. He called Ward out immediately after he won the rematch.

    Their promoters dont work together.

Its an ok fight, but beating Bellew is not really daring to be great. Bellew isnt the most menacing CW by a long shot
