He was actually pretty inspiring :good

I didn't really know much about him until the first Cleverly press conference where I immediately thought he was a fool.

But fair play, the more you see of him - the more you admire his dedication, his intelligence and his desire to better himself.

I feel much the same regarding Chisora after watching the Behind The Ropes build up.

Why can't there be any proper baddies anymore!!

Good on him though - he seems like a brilliant role model, a family man with the desire and heart to make up for any shortcomings he may have in 'natural' talent.

I see him going all the way to World Champion - simply because he wants it more than anyone else, and is prepared to commit to it more than anyone else.

And I found out he supports Everton ... which makes it easier to support. I thought he was a diehard Liverpool fan.

It is pretty tough, recently, for any boxing AND football fans to like any boxer who is an openly passionate Liverpool fan - sadly.

    VERY impressed :good

Bellew is a cool guy. Very likable. Can play the fool without coming across like a moron.

Tony has always had time for his fans and has always come across as a decent bloke.

When I needed help for a uni project a couple of years ago, he helped with that and he's just seems a proper sound guy!

He's always been a good guy since i've posted on here, he took a lot of unwarranted stick and gave as good as he got. He stuck around to his credit and always is good for a laugh.

TBH i remember it wasn't long ago, there was hardly any youtube footage of him and he was on undercards once every blue moon. He's picked up in last few years and i'm confident that come September 8th he's going to beat Miranda and then go onto world honors.

He and Woodhouse are two lads who study the game, come on here and talk with fans but also find time to improve in there training not just cutting weight. Both have impressed me with there development..

    No, not all!

I was trying to say, my first impression of Bellew was of a Scally version of one of the drug goons in Dead Man's Shoes :good

Never have I been so wrong in my life. He seems an intelligent, articulate, honourable guy who has a very clear focus and goal in his life.

    Good on him.

It's fantastic to be proved wrong and he I am now fully behind his goal to be World Champion.

    Even as a Forest fan!

It just goes to show how gentlemanly, honest, humble and dedicated, the majority of boxers are. Their ability to channel aggression is admirable and boxers **** all over footballers in every department. Says a lot about what boxing does for youngsters. You get the odd idiot, of course. David Haye has said some disgusting things, for example. But, back to Bellew, 100% diamond.

Tony's posts on here speak volumes. They are always positive and humble, not one bit arrogant.

Bellew is a real character, he's the kind of guy that could be a household name if his ability takes him to the top.
