I've been following this sport for a very very long time, and i've never witnessed a fighter react so embarrassingly.

Haye totally lost it, the expletive laced outbursts directed at the opponent and then the crowd, the constant fumbling with his phone, the constant sipping of water, pretending to yawn.

These are all amateurish attempts at hiding adrenaline shake.

I've no doubt that the initial idea of this fight was pure pantomime, but Haye is not play acting, he is seriously rattled.

I don't read too much into pressers and face offs dictating the outcome of fights, but Bellew needs an edge and he has gotten it.

Bellew said something interesting in the post-conference IFL TV interview with Kugan. He started talking about fake news then asked Kugan if he knew why Haye has really been going to Germany regularly recently with a bit of a smirk.

I also noticed Bellew asked multiple times as well about his trips to Germany and made sure Haye said he was injury free in the press conference.

Not is all as it seems.

It is relevant to my point that Haye won his titles from reigning champs (did you get that part)

I mentioned ONE (singular) light heavy and Makabu beat this (elderly) lightheavy at Cruiser, what is you are unable to understand?

Bellew may be 'the only champion in the ring' on Saturday but the fact remains he has NEVER beaten a reigning champion ...

    Cretin

You should watch the video Kugan does with Haye.

I reckon Shane does a bit of hypnotism in camp, because he has his fighters believing all kinds of ridiculous stuff.

Did you know for instance that you don't reach your full potential as a heavyweight until you are 36 years of age /

Apparently you have better stamina, serious injuries have no affect, and you punch harder ?

Shame that Shane ( see what i did there ? ) couldn't hypnotise Frampton when Leo was giving him a boxing lesson.

Tbf bellews probably the worst i ve ever seen for deluding himself. Its actually quite interesting to watch...cause it seems to work for him.

Thought haye was quality in the presser tbh. Tony has a classic bully mentality...in boxing mode anyway. When he tried to turn it up haye replied by turning it up even more. Was perfect against tony in terms of the mind games. You get the feeling with bellew hes a bit obsessive about things. His mind doesnt switch off. The more you drop things in like i m gonna put you in hospital the more he ll dwell on it in them hours leading up to the fight.

People are kidding themselves if they think hes winning the mind games. Hes a strong minded chap bellew but hayes using it against him atm. I actually think with haye angering hims counterproductive. Hes a spiteful bas **** at the best of times in the ring...you dont want to flame the fire. Better to go the other way and appease him...he gets more up for it the more you get him interested in it.

Say what you want about haye...he doesnt back down when riled. Calling the fans ******s...fully expected him to get lynched down in liverpool for that.

Bellew had him rattled in the head to head when he said he was shrinking because of the varda testing

After he said that, Haye looked him in the eye, raised a finger, and calmly said "1 round baby, 1 round."

Haye hasn't handled much of this buildup right mate. Bellew has been successful in winding him right up. He wants Haye to hate him, that raw emotion doesn't half use the juice up in fuel tank. He doesn't want Haye to be relaxed and composed, he wants to rile him up beyond belief.

No sure i agree mate...but might be my bias coming into it. I dont think tonys gameplan is or was to rile him. Its the same as it always is with bellew pre fight he wants to get his opponent intimidated. He tried it with haye...when it didnt go anywhere he then played the victim now settling for trying to annoy him.

To be fair to haye hes not took intimidation from anyone. Hes took the role as the aggressor if anything. Not allowed himself to be bullied by bellew or hearn/matchroom influence or even the liverpool crowd. I actually think hes played a blinder but again we,re all sometimes guilty of only seeing what we want to see.

I think with haye the more you rile/annoy him the more it gets him up for it. A lot of people look at boxing physcology and always look at the one being riled as losing the battle of the minds. But its not always the case...different personalities come into play with it. When you look at bellew he gets angry almost every fight and yet goes out and performs just fine. It actually gets him more up for it. Sometimes its beneficial but its not always the right way to go about it. If i was tony i would have not gave haye anything to work with in the build up. Appeased him. Best way to play haye for me.

I'm laughing at everyone saying Bellew has an "edge" or "round one to Bellew". Means nothing. In fact it's arguably worse for Bellew because Haye is furious so the beating will be even more severe.

And who cares if Bellew says some crap like "ask him why he's going to Germany". He did the same thing at the Clev 2 press conference where he talked about AA meetings. All these words mean nothing because Haye is more skilled, stronger, bigger and faster.

What was tony insinuating by saying haye goes to Germany?
