I couldn't agree anymore mate... He's being offered a really good payday and was offered it 4 weeks ago, He asked for notice and was given it but he simply does not wanna know, McKenzie would be ideal and my team are working really hard trying to find a good opponent, Im determined to put a good display on after last time out and Im sure I will regardless, Im now mandatory for the British Title so no one is fighting for that but me, Hopefully McIntosh,McKenzie or anyone who people think will make an exciting fight.. Thanks again for the support guys and I know this is frustrating but hopefully it'll be sorted soon..:good
Courtney Fry is a good shout, decent enough opponent, not sure if he has packed it in though hasn't fought for 14 months.
Tony, i think you and the rest of those young fighters in that Warren camp, need to be a lot more busy. It doesn't matter who you fight, just fight! that's how you learn and become comfortable in the ring. I understand why fighters are less active these days, promoters are happy for you to sit out for most of the year and TV is not willing to give enough dates. I understand the sport is stuck in a quagmire and the fighters are making enough chedder not to have to be out often, but it's really stagnating and holding back the progress of your skills. It's one of the reason's the skillset and technique of fighters has regressed over the years.
to be fair mate i think if it was up to tony then he would get more fights! i reakon mcintosh wants to knock afew more bums out to get abit of hype around him then get abigger pay day fighting someone like Bellew. Courtney Fry could be good because we could obviously compare the result to clevs fight with him. ps Its great to see a fighter like Bellew on the forums, gives us a insight into the inner workings of the boxing world plus he comes across very well.
Yep, Tony is a good guy, great to have him on the forum and i know he would be more active if he had the choice. It's just so frustrating seeing young fighters being so inactive, it does my head in. People underrate how important it is in a fighters development. Just wanted to get his views on it tbh.
Well I've got my ticket mate, so I'm jus lookin forward to you doing a job on whoever is put infront of you on the night. :good
if its a nontitle job or maybe a foreighn fighter, then either mcintosh or mckenzie in a double title fight, early next year, seems a good plan imo.
