don't know about you guys but tony bellew pulling out with a hand injury 6 days before a big fight does't seem to ring true to me especially when most of the sparring is usually done by then and that's when you would have thought a fighter would have been injured but if it is true why didn't tony do the right thing by mckenzie and let mckenzie fight for the vacant title and then tony could have challenged the winner i also think tony at the moment is not in a good place as far as his confidence is concerned but good luck in the future tony

I'm as gutted as anyone, my camp not only cost me money but I also felt great, I am truly devastated that 8 weeks have gone Down the drain, I'll continue to work on things and the fight will be made asap!! I'm not dodging anyone!! Never have never will, my surgeon informed me that if I go ahead and the crack snaps I'll br out years instead of weeks, I'll be out again soon but for now I'm gutted and just well gutted is the only word..

I did it last Thursday and scanned on the Friday and got the result after that.. I had serious decisions to make, I wanted to fight but I can't risk my future for the sake of 1 fight!! Was last 2 days of sparring!! :tired

Thanks for the support I get on here, eastside is the rightside I love tgIs forum, once again sorry to those who were paying to see me but again I'm truly gutted as I really believe I would have looked good this time but I'll sit paitenently and my time will come, thank you again..:good

 

Sad to see this isn't happening as I'm sure it would have been another fun fight. Hope the recovery goes well and it's not too long before we see a rematch.

 

Shame was looking forward to you doing Biz but it's a smart call. Plus tbh Tony although 8 weeks out of your life takes emotional toll as well as money but that camp will only do you good in future mate.

By end of year you could be Triple Champion mate...funny how fast boxing can change. Good luck mate.

 

Gutted for you Tony. It was a fight I was looking forward to a lot but there's no point risking your long term future.

Do you know what's happening with the British title now? Will you be challenging for it in your next fight?
