His win over haye means nothing Haye clearly was not same his own DOCTOR said he should NEVER fight again

Haye was cashing out same way Sergio Martinez did

Haye couldn't even generate half the power because he could not use his legs

All depends what you thought before each fight, myself I did pick Bellew to win but I’m pretty sure the bookies and the majority had Haye a big favourite.

Sure he’s made a ton of money out of it and a fair bit of hype but can’t say I blame him at this stage of his career, props for facing Usyk I say

Achilles aside, I remember Haye saying in like 2012 how he had been advised never to fight again as in his words his shoulder "was shredded". He never let his hands go again in the same way again post-op.

Bellew certainly is. Haye is one of them too, so it's logical.

If people can't see how diminished Haye was as an athlete by the time he fought Bellew, I don't know what I can say. Haye was good because of his athletic prowess which covered the cracks in his boxing abilities. Fair play to Bellew, but he twice beat a 50% Haye. So on that basis, yes Bellew is seriously overrated...

I'm confused by the thread. Bellew isn't really rated.

    Wins over:

    Clevery
    Chilemba
    Masternak
    Makabu
    Flores
Haye x2 (who was seen as a god by many members on this board)

    Lost against:

Stevenson (got caught by one of the hardest punchers in boxing)

Not sure as why anyone would call him overrated. Bellew is a true warrior, who grew up in Liverpool, literally the roughest place in the UK.

I expect Bellew will give Usyk the hardest fight of his career.

Liverpool, huh? Not the same as the roughest places in pretty much any other part of the world. He's not hard. What an awkward thing to even say.

    Bellew is certainly not over-rated.
If anything, people underestimate him due to his physical shape and unspectacular boxing style.

In terms of undeserved adulation, Luis Ortiz is in a league of his own.

People have him as a solid top four HW based on a clumsy looking KO loss FFS!

If Wilder was Ali and Ortiz had taken him 12 rounds and lost , I could maybe understand but....the way people rate him, to my mind, is only matched by the hype David Price was getting with people genuinely thinking he'd dismantle Tyson Fury o_O:copas:
