Most people want Haye sparked but most people know Bellew will fall at the nearest hint of a good shot and take the payday ready for his cruiseweight paydays or he will just go for it and take the completeKO loss either way he won't lose face.

    Bellew
He has nothing to lose and nothing really to gain if he wins. Win or lose he will likely move back down to cruiserweight with his frozen WBC belt. He knows he cannot mix it with the best Heavy's like Ortiz, AJ and Fury. The Makabu fight was his signature win. This is his £3M payday to make it all worth it. I struggle to see where his motivation comes from, other than some bragging rights. His 'hatred' of Haye is so transparent it's almost embarrassing. If he gets out without brain damage he'll probably be happy.

    Haye
If Haye loses, his credibility is destroyed and he'll be placed in the category of has-beans making failed comebacks. And a £10M+ fight with AJ is gone. We know he's cocky, but he must be genuinely extremely confident of winning for him to take this.
Haye's defense is his in prime was masterful. The way he slipped an attack and landed a counter left hook against Chisora is one of the best punches i've ever seen. His two recent fights, as terrible as they were, showed that he still has power and the hand speed, but he did look considerably heavier on his feet and occasionally off balance.

    The fight
Bellew won't engage first because if he does Haye will slip and counter him all night long, so he'll try to keep it on the outside and drag it late. But if Haye moves inside and misses an attack, Bellew will no doubt be letting swing with desperate left/right hooks, which could be dangerous if Haye is slow to react and flat footed.
As long as Haye doesn't get excited and punch himself out, then it will boil down to who's defense is tighter and who's chin is better (Bellew knocked down by jabs comes to mind). Haye only needs one punch and his attacks are usually pretty fast and accurate.
First couple of rounds will be tentative, but if Haye's reflexes are intact, he should get through within 5/6.

So what does Bellew have or do better than Haye?

The cheeky scouser has him rattled on the ropes. Bellow KO.

Bellew will be unbearable if he wins. He's got no chance, really. Even a ring rusty Haye has too much speed and power for him.

Much as I would LOVE to see Haye get smashed to pieces, I can not make any case whatsoever for it happening.
Haye IMO has lost a lot of quickness, but he's accurate, with good timing and powerful, and that will be enough.
Kudos to Bellew for taking the fight, and I hope he pulls it off, but to put it in perspective, Id just about give Khan a better shot in a Canelo rematch than I give Tony.

Bellew has as much chance of knocking Haye out, as much as Price has of unifying the HW division and ruling for 10 years.

You sir are totally off your trolley and should stop with these unimaginable events you keep predicting, he has no chance whatsoever, even if it went the distance, Eddie would have it rigged for Haye to win, he would not be able to tolerate Bellew if he won, constantly telling him that he is the best HW ever, the second coming of christ etc

    Bellew gets ktfo brutally.

    So Pssi off.

As soon as Bob gets out of 1st gear this is done. Makabu landed one decent straight punch and almost took Bellew out. Haye will punch him out the ring! Ridiculous match up....

I don't even like Haye and I always support another scouser which I will again but I still won't mind if/when Haye wins because as some have mentioned this business of almost every big fight these days there is someone moving up massively in weight. It's just not for me makes it a farce in my opinion.

Of course I can see why Bellew has done it. It's not his fault, I'd do the exact same. He'll remain champion at cruiser won't lose any face as nobody expects anything (as long as it's not a really brutal one) He'll be set up for a very easy life unless he blows it which he won't cos he's an intelligent man who wants to look after his family. It's the stupid casuals believing fake hype hatred between them and promoters making out it's a 50:50 fight why we're seeing this.

Another bonus of Haye winning is it sets a better future up. Bellew is already saying he wants Joshua after he kos Haye. That would be just horrible for the sport. I believe Haye could beat AJ and Bellew can go back down and have some proper match ups were we judge him properly against some good cruisers and see how he ranks among our world champs.

I think some are marrying their dislike of Bellew with their memories of the '2012' David Haye.

His last 2 fights were an absolute joke which told us nothing. Gjergjaj went down from a left jab ffs. He thought his gloves were for keeping his ears warm. He threw a few 'lip service' jabs and got sparked lots. De Mori threw 5 awful punches and actually waited in the corner for Haye to come over and put him to sleep.

I don't hate or dislike the fella. He was an excellent fighter and I like his punditry on Sky. I'm just applying common sense to it. He will be slower...his timing won't be what it was, his stamina won't be what it was and he's only getting back into the ring because he has to.

This is a really dangerous fight for him.
