Tony Bellew on Haye "He got bounced all over the ring by me and David Price"

Price does indeed have an abysmal chin but Haye's isn't that much better, he was put on the floor by a super middleweight as a pro.

 

David Price couldn't knock out David Haye even if he was allowed to use all his plumbing tools as weaponry in the ring.

As for Bellew, terrific KO against Makabu. But he couldn't even put a dent in a blown up LHW Nathan Cleverly who was sitting on the ropes for the last third of the fight barely able to move.

Haye knocks both scouser out with consulate ease. Hell he can do the entire Smith clan immediately after too.

 

Who said anything about chin. Price has poor defense and is as stiff as a board. That plus his abysmal chin is getting him knocked out. You could also aim a few questions at his heart and overall fear of getting hit. At least Haye has lateral movement and fluidity to compensate for his mandibular deficiencies. I don't see the need to compare Haye and Price really. One was/is a successful fighter the other just doesn't have it.

 

Well the discussions was about them both being knocked out, usually chin comes into play if you're talking KO's.

I think Price should retire really, he needs to think about his health and his family. He simply doesn't have the chin for boxing.

 

It's embarrassing, it's the same thing every time. Price gets sparked and beats a few Euro bums and he reckons he's back. Deludes himself into thinking that Thompson was doping. He was KTFO by a throwaway hook from Turkish kebab boy. Now he beats a Czech security guard and reckons he could take Joshua. Featherfisted Chisora would put him to sleep in seconds.

He seriously needs to just get back to what he does best and start working on my knackered boiler.

Joshua is as chinless as Price so no surprise. Regards Haye, just a wee scouse porky surely.

 

If you want to oversimply like a mong yes, why dont we just talk about chins. There's a multitude of reasons why a fighter gets knocked out, a poor chin is only one of them. The gulf of skill between Haye and Price is a much more relevant factor in determining their respective records.

 

Price got caught a couple of times by left hooks on saturday against a journeyman. He still looks very vulnerable. For some reason he struggles to remember to keep his right hand upto his chin, its like he needs constant reminding.

 

A sparring session from over 10 years ago doesn't mean anything.

 

Haye just handled future Hall Of Famer 'The Cobra' with ease so Bellew mentioning him is just him trying to tag onto HayeMakers coat tail and generate some more headlines for himself. Bringing Price into it is madness - D.Haye takes out both of these guys in one night

I don't know why you're reverting to insults on an internet forum to try and prove your point, chins are a discussion in boxing like anything else. I simply commented on how neither Price or Haye have the best chins.

Bellew just won a title, he will no doubt want to make a few quid defending it and Haye is signed to fight old man Briggs in September so unless this is happening next year and they are taking a very long run up then it's just two ego's having a pop at each other.
