He was Usyk all along for the first fight wasn't he? He and Groves both.

Ok Bellew describing the drug Garcia got banned for as a steroid was not technically correct, as its a anabolic agent, however it is banned, and i concur completely with Bellew who is after all a ex world champ, that drug cheats should be banned for life.

I did listen to something recently with him saying Aj could beat Usyk if they fight. He's just another bum licker

 

He always did consider Usyk to be a genius back when he fought him and knew exactly what he brings to the ring with him.

Yes and no. He has his biases like everyone, but he is more often a good interview than a corporate ass kisser. And heck, a lot of people would pick Joshua given his recent streak and Usyk´s age.
I bet a lot of money on Uysk in the first two fight, but I wouldn´t be as confident in a third fight.

 

If you give anybody formidable challenger three shots at someone, they SHOULD win at least one, but I think AJ needs to give Usyk a few more years of aging before he challenges him again.

 

AJs recent streak is 4 fights with one win against a top ten opponent vs Usyks 4 fights against AJ twice (rank 3), Dubios (top ten) and Fury (rank 2).

While Bellew is knowledgeable to an extent when it comes to boxing, he's always the first to kiss AJs backside.

If AJ and Usyk were to fight a third time AJ gets stopped. Usyk is simply too good, and I'd even favour a 40 year old Usyk to do the job.

 

Usyk has had 4 wins in 4 years. Joshua´s recent winstreak came in 12 months.
Joshua looks to be in good form and a healthy mindset. Usyk is ageing.

Like I said, I bet big on Usyk in the first two fights. I wouldn´t be as confident in a third. This however does not mean that I would pick Joshua. I just give him more of a chance now than in the past.

 

It's easier to look in good form when you're fighting lesser opposition. AJ hasn't recently shown me anything that would indicate he'd have a chance beating Usyk.

 

Bellew would pick Joshua to win if he was playing golf at the masters

AJ can 'win' the third fight just by not getting KO'd. People seem to forget how the second was judged.
It will be Usyk's fault if he falls for that trap, it will be a case of greedy belly.
And Hearn and Usyk's dodgy manager will be all smiles in the change room, after all, Usyk's manager actually thinks Hearn is good to work with, despite his fighter almost getting robbed twice.

 

AJ doesn't age. Interesting. In those few years, Usyk will have aged, but AJ will still be whatever age he's now.
