Stieglitz earlier this year ... Stielgitz is just off the top rung of fighters at SMW but i thought Velecky put in a reasonable performance ... im suprised Velecky is in with Bellew to be honest as Bellew a natural cruiser whereas Velecky maybe a small cruiser to be honest ....

He he - jeff I'm steve bellew Anthony's cousin - not Bellos!! Bellos is about 6 stone lighter than me and about a foot smaller, and I'm better looking :D

I take your point about the domestic name but I still think it's a bit short sighted to suggest that only by fighting British recognised fighters can he enhance his reputation. Maybe amongst the casual fight fan but in the business, this fight will put him on the map quickly I think.

For example, how many of Nathan Cleverly's opponents have gone 10 rounds with a world champion.

I know where you're coming from though...

bellew is making the light heavyweight limit easy, he was on the weight last week in fact, bellew could do super middle at a push, so i would have to disagree on that point.

lol i cant see tony every making super middle.

intresting warren came out this week and said he really rates tony, said he wont put him in with clev as its pointless have the fight for the british when in 2-3 year it will be a world title and sell a stadium. i agree

Fair point mate and you know the guys ability to make weight .... I hope Tony wins as a match up with Cleverley down the line would be a superb domestic fight ...

Whats Tonys natural boxing weight ?

jesus he really would be cranky then. I think it would be tight for him and I wonder what the 7 fewer pounds would do to his power...?

And that would mean he could never have another Nando's...ever :rofl

I think light heavy is right for himto be honest. In the amateurs he fought at cruiser BUT he didn't live the life like he does now and Arnie has got him into great shape. He's much faster, fitter, stronger and he's not lost any power as a result.

    He's bang on 12 7 today

I think 12st would be a struggle for him personally but I could be wrong. He told me in the past that there was no way he could do 12st but that was when he just turned over and he might think differently now with two years of quality training and conditioning behind him.

I can see him moving up to cruiser down the line but he's got much to achieve at this weight first hopefully.
