Clev acted with class before the decision was announced.
They both came across really well, in and out of the ring tonight

Honestly thought Bellew won. Thought he threw with more conviction throughout and I honestly don't see him as being outworked. I'd like to see the stats on that. He also had very dominant rounds whereas I really don't think Cleverly did.

Just re-watched the fight, what a ******* it was. I originally gave it to Bellew by two rounds, second time around I can see a case being made for the draw but I just can't give it to Cleverley.
Bellew will be champion one day - i think he can win world titles at both LHW and CW - but needs to aim for the European title first and make another couple of defences of the Lonsdale belt.

Hmm, why did my post get censored? I only said that the fight was a "crack-er". Anyone reading would think that i was referring to a certain promoter...

Tony Bellew = a credit to the sport

I had him down by a round but he put up a great performance and to say he was gracious in defeat is a massive understatement.

Kudos to Cleverley as well, he took some big shots and weathered a few Bellew storms and managed to get the win. Very respectful post fight interview and has gone up in my estimations for it.

I said I would come back on here and I'm here, I wanna say thank you to all of you, i appreciate it so much, it was a hard fight, I honestly feel I won 6 rounds but with him bring champion I think I needed 8, I respect him so much and he's a good fighter and a good guy, I gave it everything in there, I just switched off at times but that's down to his great speed too!

I'm truly devastated to lose but once again I give credit, he's a good fighter!

Thank you everyone and I'll be back from this setback xx

I love this site and I'll be getting back on more, at this moment I'm justba bit gutted and devastated but this is boxing, I have to take the rough with the smooth, you guys have been great! Thank you x

You have NOTHING to be sorry for m8. You left it all in the ring, gave it your best go, and managed to both outbox and outslug a world champion for parts of the fight. I had Bellew winning 115-114, but it was close. I wont argue with Clev getting the result, but Parris needs to justify his scorecard

As said, you're a credit to your family, your city and your country and I have no doubt you can win a world title. Loved that double jab and actually thought you were matching Clev for speed most of the time, it was his insane fitness that kept him in that fight. You were winning the battle of the jabs.

I hope you take the positives from that fight and keep on improving and continue to give it 100%. You are certainly way beyond domestic level.
