:clap:Well done Tony!!!! You did yourself and the city proud in there last night. This fight will be of great benefit to the rest of your career I'm sure, losing certainly isn't the end of the world trust me. Always knew you would make it a close fight and I'm looking forward to the eventual rematch when you and Nathan Cleverly are hopefully at the top of the division. You've moved well above domestic level and I for one can't wait to see where you go from here and will be supporting all the way. :good

I've been paying you tributes in other threads mate, just not in this one haha. 'epitome of a fighter' is the phrase I've been using. Chin up my man, everyone ****in loves you on this site, just sayin!

By the way, your jab is potent as Genghis Khan's sperm, it's a great weapon and almost won you the fight last night, it was very close on the cards. It could have went either way.

A first class performance both during and after the fight, where you carried yourself with dignity even though you were understandably massively disappointed, displaying not a hint of bitterness or animosity towards your rival.

You couldn't have given anymore, talk about leaving it all in the ring.

You fought brilliantly Tony, you did everyone proud and the two of you put on a great fight. The fight was close, the 117 - 112 card was ridiculous and you made the bookies look a bit daft as well. Definitely proved that you belong at world level and i'm sure that you'll get another crack at a world title.

What I would love to see is Tony fighting quite a lot now. He might not need to do that money wise which is understandable and boxing is dangerous so I'm not trying to ask for someone to fight more than they have to, but it would be great if Tony just gets right back in the ring now, fights, wins, then fights again right after and wins. We all love to watch him fight and he'll have support now, if he gets right back in the thick of it and does well immediately then he'll be making a case for himself in no time and might earn another shot. Would be nice for all of us, and for Tony too.

Tony was fantastic last night and showed class at the end, as did Cleverly. It was great to see the respect between the two of them. I had it as a draw but couldnt argue with 1 or 2 rounds either way. The 117-112 was a disgrace.

I think Tony can definitely come again, whether its at light-heavy or cruiser. Would love to see a rematch with Cleverly though.

Well done Tony. I could have scored it either way and I think a draw would have been fair. I hope you re-apply yourself because you've probably gained a lot of new fans and I'd hate for the loss to set you back.

well done to both fighters on a very entertaining fight. I had Toney Bellew up by 1 round. Bellew suprised me with his tactics as i thought he wouldve got caught up on all the hype before the fight and try to make it a war. thought tony made clev look quite ordinary at times. Before the fight tony talked the talk and in the ring he backed it all up so well done Tony im a massive fan now.

Thanks guys, I've read through the comments and can't thank you all enough, I'm devastated but know deep down I won at least 6 rounds, I don't lie to myself and with him being champion I gave him close rounds, I'd love to do it again but can't see it, I just wanna get out again ASAP, I'll learn from last night, I'm a person who learns from hid mistakes and I did make mistakes last night, I give Nathan so much credit, he's a good fighter who doesn't stop.. Last night we both met our match I feel.. I wish him luck and I'll be back, once again guys thank you so much. ;-)

    It is appreciated ;-)
