Tony Bellew to face Edison Miranda on September 8

    Liverpool man in one of six title fights at Ally Pally
    Tony Bellew will face Edison Miranda at Alexandra Palace, north London on September 8 in an action packed bill with six title fights live on Sky Sports.

    The Liverpool fighter tackles the two-time IBF super middleweight world title challenger for the WBC International light heavyweight title in a co-headlining show with Darren Barker, the former undefeated European middleweight champ who will return to action after his valiant World title challenge against Sergio Martinez, facing Italian middleweight champion Simone Rotolo for the IBF Inter Continental middleweight title.

    Damn Miranda is so washed up. He's beyond shot. Bellew should be able to KO him within 8 rounds.

    best fighter bellews fought but it still isn't as good to the opponents cleverlys beat

    Miranda better than Cleverly? Cleverly isn't that great, but he's definitely better than Miranda, especially this version of Miranda.

    This is a step down for Bellew.

    While Miranda is essentially shot, this isn't a step down... It's an interesting fight/test for Bellew.

    So Miranda > Cleverly? I guess he's not really a step down from feasting on local scouse cabbers, but he's not really a step in the right direction.

    I guess it's a good fight to stay busy, or until a better fight comes around.

    Miranda may be past it, but he was decent enough and he's been in with some of the best at the top level.

    Who has Cleverly fought? Karo Murat? Najib whatshisname? Tommy Carpency?

    Miranda may have failed at top level, but at least he has that experience. It's a good step up for Bellew.

    karo murat is by far a better fighter then miranda. mirandas originally a middleweight murat is an established 175lb fighter he beat campillo
