Flores has a Victor Ortiz-like ability to drift from big fight big fight, losing all the way. I expect Tony to take no chances whatsoever with opposition up until the point a PPV level opponent can be found. Tony will sell that title to the highest bidder. Hard to knock him for it I suppose.

I agree, you can beat an egg, you can beat a drum, you can even beat your wife but you can't beat a BJ :yep

Been expecting this, he's been calling Bellew's name for a good while now whilst having done nothing to earn a shot.

Sorry, but what happened with the mandatory challenger Briedis and the champion in recess Drozd? Hadn't they got the priority for the first defense of Bellew's title? I guess this is the classic shameful&disgraceful WBC move which we've been accostumed to in the recent years...

    :deal

With defences like this one, I could see Bellew's reign going along the same lines as Kell Brook's, while flagrantly ducking the likes of Drozd, Lebedev, Briedis and Usyk.

So Flores has just magically appeared in the top 15?

In a division stacked with talent this fight is an embarrassment

In fairness to Brook his opponents were mandatory and the IBF are notoriously strict on mandatory defences, when he was looking at the voluntary we all know what happened out in Tenerife which set him back...

Don't really blame Brook for wanting to keep hold of the belt and therefore keep hold of a bargaining tool for future big fights......... although not that it matters now since he's stepped up and shown ***** of steel.

I smell a BO in this fight!

Seriously the smell will be so bad in that ring that someones BO has gotta go.

That's true enough. Even if Brook takes s beating (which I'm sure he will), he doesn't lose his title or any credibility.

Based on performance he's exceeded every fighter before him.. Stevenson struggled for a few rounds before his recent KO.. Bellew destroyed a better cruiserweight version.. many who still "thought" was the best cruiserweight in the world..
