Brough got off to a 7-0 start from 2007 through 2009, but had been out of the ring for three years before today.
Yeah, unless they stretch into a three hour broadcast. Doubtful. Just to show an 8-rounder with a replacement opponent? Nah..
Price gives a big grin when asked if he's nervous about his upcoming date with Sam Sexton. He was disappointed in the lack of challenge from Big John McDermott. He isn't predicting a knockout of Sam Sexton, as Sam has a tighter defense and doesn't come running in like John. If it comes, it comes.
Froch has been sparring a lot this week, using Bob Ajisafe for his awkwardness and ranginess in the southpaw stance. Froch is hungry for this win to stay at top level. He says that his body is responding well to the training, his muscles feel readier and more pliant and he's gearing to go.
Still more to come, Sillakh on ESPN and Shobox has a card. Just seen Mack and Sheika is on tonight on paper that looks like it could be a good fight. Can't see it being shown anywhere though.
I thought Bellew outboxed Cleverly, He looks as good if not better then in that fight, I pick him over Gutnechkt, Cleverly, Murat, ect. Impressed again.
Best light heavyweight in Europe, IMO. :good (unless we're already counting Mikkel Kessler as a light heavyweight...but then, we need to actually see how he wears it....also, unless we're calling Ismayl Sillakh - a Ukrainian born fighter now based out of the USA - a European...I'm not prepared to say Bellew is better than the question mark of Kessler at LHW, and he isn't better than Sillakh...but he's above Cleverly, Gutknecht, Shumenov etc. for me)
:thumbsup I figured he'd gut it out despite Watto's superior experience, based on recent form, his body punching reputation, and looking a deal fitter at the weigh in. Too bad it wasn't televised. If SKY were thinking Hamilton was a huge step down from Cook, it seems they were wrong.
