Tony Bellew vs Isaac Chilemba is a 50/50 Fight

i think ppl are going to realize after this fight that bellew isn't that great a fighter as they made him out to be. i can see bellews lack of hand speed and precision being his downfall, and the punches that end up getting through won't really have that big impact on the south african. If he proves me wrong i'll be a fan.

 

Yeah, pretty much agree with this. Chilemba's the best fighter Bellew's fought by far, and he'll give him a good test. Exect Bellew to come through in a tough one though.

If that's what he's gotta do and it works then yes.

 

Chilemba will be a huge test for Tony. I'd rate this bloke in the 10 LH so this is a very credible final eliminator.

Chilemba has a very awkward boxing style and I can picture him tying Tony up in exchanges furstrating Bellew with a spoiling style. Bellew has get the tactics spot on and make sure everything comes together right on the night. If he goes steaming in too aggressive at the start like against Bolonti, or plays it too cautious for toon long like against Miranda then it's very likely Chilemba will outbox him.

He has to be patient, pick his punches very well and not waste any, keep Chilemba behind that stiff jab he's got and slowly grind him. Hold the centre and get Chilemba on the ropes as much as he can.

If it all clicks right for Tony on the night then I think he'll do it, possibly even by stoppage if he can land a clean bomb on Chilemba's chin. Easier said than done though.

:rofl I haven't seen much of Chilemba other than when he got put down and looked sloppy but lots of people are saying he's a good fighter. And the draw with Ooz.. speaks for itself.. You going to this Paulie?

Someone post a few links to Chilemba so I can have a look at him, I hope he is as good as you lot are making out.

 

I don't think it's quite 50/50 TBH; Bellew should be favoured to win it.
