    What a **** opponent!!!!!!!!!!!!

Cant believe Bellew's fighting another bum.

He should be fighting Dawson or Hopkins or Cloud.

Infact its a joke hes not fighting all three of them in the same night.

If Bellews hasnt unified the light heavy-weight, Cruiserweight and Heavyweight titles by this time next year he may as well retire because hes going nowhere with Hearn

More **** promotion/management from Hearn, three paper champs at LHW who Bellew would stand a very good chance against and which title does Hearn target? The one held by Dawson, who would ****ing school Bellew.

You're missing the point - I'm saying that he should be targeting the WBA, IBF and WBO belts as they are held by weak champions, instead he goes for the the WBC which is held by the undisputed #1 in the division who is leagues above Bellew. Hearn doesn't have the influence to get what is best for his fighters. You would think he would target the IBF belt as Hearn appears friendly with them, but no, strangely :huh

Is it a bad thing he is going for the toughest route? Is that not how it should be?

Well Bolonti is ranked by the WBC,WBO & WBA is he not ??, the WBC Silver title may be on the line (for what thats worth) but thats not an indication that he will eventually be ranked 1 by just the WBC

Weve seen recently that Hearn will "avoid" certain fighters if that means preserving his own

My feeling is that Bellew may not be ready for the Trout's or Shumenov's of the world, and then there are the Campillo's and Pascal's who dont hold title's, Tony hasnt fought at that level yet, Cleverly beat him, and Tony was in good nick for that fight!

You get the feeling that Hearn will give his fighters 50-50 fights, when the timing is right for them (Bute-Froch / Frampton-Molitor), the timing is not right for Bellew now, he needs a sterner test than a blown up MW before he goes in with the above mentioned

Or risk losing, or would he be serving himself up?? IMO probably ..................... yes

If he wants to fight Dawson fair play, but he will lose.

Thats your opinion which your perfectly entitled to make Sir, its just my feeling that he may not be, im not sure ive seen enough from Tony right now to suggest he is, but clearly he's moving towards the upper echelon

Bellew has a good chance against any of the LHW champs in my opinion, Dawson is the best of the bunch but he didn't do so well against Pascal who isn't leagues above Bellew in terms of skills. I think it's pretty good management by Hearn, get him up the rankings as a legit top 10 contender then work towards a title fight next year. I don't think Bellew is quite ready to fight for a title yet anyway against Cloud, Shumenov etc. he seemed slightly tentative and cautious in his fight with Miranda so let him get his confidence up and build towards it with natural momentum rather than throw him to the lions straight away. Hearn is trying to build a fan base for him too so that when he does get into title contention he'll have a following and sell a few more tickets. It's not rocket science.

Bellew is strong, but only when he is allowed to dictate the pace, when ever he isnt dictating the pace he isnt winning the fight, he's promised or stated "i will walk down Bolonti and break him" lets see if he will, my overall concern for Bellew is output, he's not as active as the top fighters at the weight and i put that down to his condition at 175, not his conditioning (which is 2nd to none) please dont mistake that, i think the weights hurting him, he knows his body best and he says its not, so ultimately we should believe that its not, but thats not the way it appears to me, for a guy who's so well conditioned he should be putting out a frightening pace and he's not

I would say if Bellew marched onto Cloud and pressured him intelligently he'd stand a good chance, but thats not his natural game and who's he fought near that level? Cleverly? he's still untested himself, Miranda? a blown up MW, Danny Mc? domestic level, Cloud has at least been tested at world level, beaten IMO by Campillo but he wasnt over un or over whelmed

Please dont mistake this for bashing i love Tony Bellew, im a Liverpool lad myself, and i want him to do well i really do, but i must say what i see, i worry he's not world class level, time will tell ................

The impression I get is that after the first McKenzie fight where he came out swinging and got put down, he tries to box a bit cleverer now. Against Miranda he was accused of backing off but you could tell he just didn't want to get into exchanges with a hard hitting but limited Miranda as that was the guys only way of beating him.

Similar to the second fight with McKenzie, he just wants to make sure he gets the win as a loss at this stage against a non world class opponent would be incredibly damaging. I think in a title fight we might see him come out firing a bit more like he did against Cleverly to win his opponents respect but in these stay busy fights he'll just look to take the safety first, wear them down type of tactics.

I hear what Winfella is saying though, he did seem to tire in the later rounds against Cleverly although what I think really cost him was abandoning his jab in the later rounds.

I feel bad now after you went to all that effort! But I really think that Bellew is too big and strong for 154lb TROUT!!
