tony bellew vs top cruiserweights

    Having watched it he looked awful

    Could barely muster the energy to muster more than 2 punches at a time. The guy was looking for a way out after round 5 but lasted almost the distance. Should have put him away much sooner. Bellew is so inaccurate its unreal.

    Cant see him beating any of the top crusiers. He's in **** shape looks once paced

    Kmoan he's crushed and boxed most of the cruisers hes faced.

    I was guilty of it before the Cleverly fight, being a welshman of course I back Nathan to win and believed he did just enough to earn the decision that night . . . . that being said I came away from that fight with a deep respect for the scouser.

    Time goes on and despite both men losing to the respective Light Heavyweight kings by stoppage I felt Bellew had some success in the Stevenson fight where as Cleverly ironically fought like an idiot and thats why I picked Bellew in the rematch.

    Again I cant express further how much Bellew has gained my respect despite his aggressive attitude (all be it entertaining) but with the current landscape of Cruiserweight champs who seem intent on not fighting each other for whatever reason I cant see Bellew ever winning a world title.

    Huck was powerful enough to go toe to toe with Povetkin (and win the fight in my eyes)

    Hernandez also is a deserving champion along with the Hard hitting Lebedev as well as Drozd.

    Its a shame because Bellew deserves to be called a Champion, he truely embodies the spirit of one . . . Sadly I dont think its quite enough

    i have been reading through the posts and im astounded that nobody else gives him achance against hernandez at least? he was kod by wayne braithwaite and has been down in a few fights in his career. im not saying that tony would beat him easily but he must have more of a chance against him rather than huck/drozd/lebedev.

    hernandez seems to be the skillfull one of the bunch and wouldnt swarm him like the others which would give tony the perfect chance to try outbox him and maybe hit him and get him in trouble.

    one thing i would like to see him work on though is his accuracy and imo dave coldwell isnt really the man to coach him, i have never been impressed with him as a coach and think he could just be someone who lets tony do what he wants in the gym where as other coaches wouldnt put up with that.

    Intelli has a balance.. gence..


    Seriously he KOs all so most think Bellew/Cleverly III.
