Tony Bellew.... Why all the hate?

This is what I like to hear.An ordinary guy who has actually met him and formed an opinion based on that,rather than hearsay and conjecture.

 

I think he's a genuine good guy.

Deserves a medal for taking the battle to Vince Cleverley.

Really think he can do it saturday.

If they got the weight right Adonis could be in a world of trouble.

 

Responsible for the funniest press conference I've ever seen. Top bloke.

 

Basically because he is a British level fighter who is being forced down the fans throats as world class and he is an arrogent bully who gets agressive with opponents at press conferences and then agressive with them after the fight because they don't agree with the gift decision he has recieved.

 

HBO don't rate scouse mouthpiece Bellew in the slightest and are giving him zero chance against Adonis.

 

I've never met him, but i like his straight talking and down to earth nature. I've a couple of mates who've been in his company on a couple of occasions, and they said what you see is what you get, decent straight talking bloke.
I think he'll give a good account of himself on saturday, lets hope he can shut up all the naysayers.

I like him, and I like the way he's handling himself over in Canada. His self belief's infectious. It's a big ask though..

I'd LOVE IT if he won. LOVE IT. I sound like Kevin Keegan when he had his rant lol.

 

Bellew gets a lot of hate because he's always been outspoken about his confidence in himself (same as Froch). Difference is he's had some shaky moments and setbacks, but imo the main reason is that when he appears on British TV the commentators tend to **** on him. That has an impact on the fan perception. Colin whatever-the-**** just couldn't let him alone in either of the McKenzie fights, it was pretty disgraceful.

 

like or hate him how anyone can root for Stevenson instead of Bellew is beyond me

 

I'm a big Bellew fan, shows passion in his fights, comes across as a decent fella in his interviews etc. and I agree, he's a very good pundit.

Really hope he can pull it off tonight

The only reason Bellew is fighting this Dude is because Fast Car is a good negotiator and has pull.Good for Matchroom-not so good for Bellew who will get crushed.

 

I like Tony a lot.. And the lad can box.. he has an under rated skill set.

Hope he becomes a world champion tonight..

A Bellew win does kind of ruin the Stevenson-Kovalev unification...

 

I like Bellew has a lot of ambition.
