With Frank pushing his fighters now you've go to believe that Tony will have a big step up very soon. He needs to get in a position to fight the likes of Murat, fighters highly-ranked with bodies and get himself near the top of the rankings, only then will it seem viable for Warren to match him and Clev. As good as Clev is though, going into a fight with Braehmer looking to he exciting will get him sparked, I personally wouldn't like to see him take this fight in December, although full credit to Clev/Warren if it comes off and he comes through, trying to walk through Braehmer is not a good idea IMO.
Maybe just one round? :yep Go on! :happy One thing that really encourages me about Bellew is the fact he appears to know the mainly forgotten art of HOOKING OFF THE JAB!!!
Thirded! I think Clev has a solid chin, but Bellew has a proper knockout punch, that much is clear. I think we'll find out about Clevs chin against a top puncher pretty soon, and once he's been hurt he'll box a bit, well, cleverer!
IMO he doesn't establish the jab enough and he certainly doesn't hook off it that well, I think even Chisora at times hooks off the jab better than Tony and i'm not a Chisora fan. I hope he doesn't fall in love with his power and learns to set things up. I like him better than Cleverly though, Tony seems to be much better mentally.
Tony.. Im a big clev fan but the more you post on here the more respect i have for you.... The way you answer questions shows what kinda person you are. Good luck for Friday mate..
“I can’t see this fight going beyond the sixth round. Ajisafe won’t have the strength to keep me off him and he showed against McKenzie that he can be floored early. If that happens against me I’ll take him out because I hit hard enough to stop any light-heavyweight in Britain.”
This is a brilliant line. It's always my concern when watching bangers. Tony can box a bit as well like, but the power he has is obviously a huge weapon and we've seen it a number of times where fighters end up relying on it when there's so much more to their game. Best example for me is Naz, some unbelievable tekkers on that kid but by the time he fought Kelley he was just looking for that one shot all the time. Anyone with half a punch would do well to remember this. I dont know Bellew from adam, so I dont know if he would be the type of person to fall into this trap or not, but it's a fantastic warning to any young banger in my opinion.
he is a beast guys think he is my favourite british fighter and he can move up the divisions too as he is quite skinny i'd think his power will only grow
I think this stems from Bellew just going for the big shots as just 'feeling out' of the majority of his arsenal. Hopefully Bellew will get opponents soon that will force him to show whether I'm right or wrong :good At the present time, I have seen glimpses/intentions of some of the finer points of The Sweet Science. I hope to see a more fully-formed and forced to perform Bellew ASAP, I feel Ajisafe is just another victim down to what I've seen of him previously, awkward but unspectacular and not having the pop to dissuade Bellew.
I don't think my heart could take much more than 1 round. First punch KO would do me nicely if you can please Tony :good Gutted I didn't have more than £2 on Chisora to win in the 9th
Murat is a slower and less talented version of Gypsy Johnny Frankham...on saturday he looked like he was throwing through treacle and he was still consistantly catching Cleverley, more so as the fight went on. I'm not saying that Bellew would definately beat Cleverley at this stage (I have a feeling he would) but Tonys power would pose a significant threat throughout the fight and would spell disaster if Cleverley doesn't tighten up his porous defence which is frankly awful.
