Couldnt put away a guy who was lying against the ropes for 4 rounds, was gassed and was only using one hand.
    Throws round armed punches.
Looked tired himself after 3 rounds.
    Weak puncher.
    British level at best.
    Agree/disagree ?

He's nowhere near World class, he would beat McKenzie for the British and Commonwealth title and that's about it. I doubt he's beat Chakhkiev for the European and the likes of Huck, Lebedev, Hernandez, Ofolabi, Mchunu and Drozd would destroy him. Bellew is all talk.

Wasn't an outstanding performance by any stretch, but Clev fought a fight of two halves in that first of all he wasn't engaging and was just peppering the jab.. then later on he was just tucking up on the ropes.

Takes two to tango as they say.

Don't see him beating the likes of Huck, Afolabi, Lebedev etc.

    completely agree

if Clev had thrown ANY punches he would have won easily...Bellew was missing a guy standing still...if they both fight on id doubt either has a worse night

My only positive is that tony kept trying untill the final bell and showed some grit to keep punching even tho his fitness is clearly lacking and he too was out on his feet thru total exhaustion. Nervous energy played a big part in both lads downfall really.

Needs to get fit and fast. Being in decent nick for joe average wont cut it at the top level. It wouldn't against a guy who had bulked up as much as Clev has.

In round 9 Cleverly sat on the ropes and Tony didn't have the energy to put him away. Would any real world class fighter allow that to happen? I was expecting some combinations to try and break the guard and force the finish or a nock down but they both looked knackered it almost looked like a pad drill

Bellew won the fight awful performance off both fighters cleverlys beating off kovalev has finished him didn't throw a right hand all night and for bellew not to have stopped him or put a serious one sided beating on him shows the standard there at as for the millennium stadium trilogy talk you ain't no gatti ward after last nights fight it would be a struggle to fill the Olympia

Fix that fight... watched it again, both purposely holding back on shots. Not even well hidden, pretty ****ing obvious.

That laying on the ropes was pathetic too.

The truth is bellew will be back earning paydays because those liverpool fans are taken in by a scallywags and will continue to pay to watch him as they love to believe anyone from their hometown is the best.
