I can remember when he stepped up he said he wouldnt fight any domestic fighter as he is "passed them" but surely fighting someone like stephen simmons , matty askin or jon lewis ****enson has got to be better than fighting these latvian postmen and eastern european journeyman Also aswell how out of shape does he look for a cruiserweight fighter its as if hes eat his way up from light heavyweght Thoughts ??
In all honesty Tony bores me to tears, in and out of the ring. Him now believing he's a Pay-Per-View fighter will only make things worse. On the bright side I imagine he'll be an absolute nightmare for Eddie Hearn to negotiate a purse with if Tony ever fights a top level opponent again!
In terms of his physique he doesn't look great but he just isn't someone who has a natural definition in his body. It doesn't mean he is out of shape but its just happens to some people, so he is definitely a proper cruiserweight without doubt, I get your point on his opponent though, he should be fighting gatekeepers in my opinion whilst he waits for a shot at the title instead of facing such poor opponents.
Bellew is probably a 13st/13st 7lbs fighter (the old Cruiser limit would have been perfect for him) but instead he's decided to 'eat up' to the division limit of 14st 4lbs and he just looks chubby and ponderous. I'd like to see him in with Ovill again, on present form Ovill wins pretty easily.
Has Bellew ever been impressive, on the scales or in the ring? Every-time he's stepped up he's been beaten and he doesn't exactly look like a world beater when he's fighting average opposition. He's just not that good, in my opinion, and it's not like he's a likable character either.
