Bellew is now a BBC sport columnist and is on the record again saying how easy the Fury fight would be. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/boxing/44828536
He is getting all this work because of the film and not because he is the greatest heavy weight on the planet Fight Dillian Whyte !
It's frustrating as the casuals probably think Bellew is some sort of boxing great. Whereas in reality everyone that really knows boxing can tell you Bellew is a decent fighter at fringe world level who has been at the right place at the right time. No way he steps in with the winner of Usyk-Gassiev. Btw I actually like Bellew but I'm just stating the reality of the situation.
He beats the current Fury. Well the one who faced Seferi, no doubt about that in my mind. If Fury puts in a performance against Pioneta (is that right?) I’m sure the talking will stop. Bellew is basically a bounty hunter. He’s hunting down tired old dogs for the big pay days. If Fury proves he’s a live dog then Bellew won’t want any of it.
I’m literally staggered at people who think Bellew could beat Fury, even the one who was clowning (yes laughing and joking and taking the complete ****. He wasn’t being serious) Seferi.
I hope he does. In an ideal world Fury comes back in August puts on a show and Bellew then switches his sights on the WBSS winner.
Fury did look bored and uninspired in the Seferi match. His opponent could not get any offence in and I doubt Pianeta will hurt Fury. Fury is taking the soft road back, but a focused Fury could beat Bellew easily.
