    This has gotten to be a running inside joke with myself, where I'm the Butt of the joke. :ohno

    Since this was last bumped, I've missed four consecutive Booth vs. Langdale days. I always set a reminder in my phone calendar, too. Just, somehow, end up not seeing it, or being too busy, or forgetting...

    Anyway this past one marked 15 years since that glorious event. Happy belated TBvsML, everyone. :borra2:

    How he lands that shot makes me sure he could've won the fight at any point. It's a shame fighters like Booth can't get at least some Matchroom style backing.

    You raise an interesting question. Do you suppose if the likes of Robin Deakin, Kristian Laight, Peter Buckley had been born, come along and fought a couple of decades later than they did, Fast Car would reward their popularity with the fans (at least on internet forums; I'm not sure how well that sort of popularity would translate into them being seen as attracting viewers) with regular TV appearances vastly eclipsing their normal paydays?

    A good case study I suppose is Kamil Sokolowski. He "got over" with the mob (in the sense of that word you'd associate with Ancient Rome, not their perfidious bada-bing descendants :sisi1), and has been featured on more big cards and gotten more screen-time (between conventional terrestrial broadcast and OTT streaming) than you'd think anybody with that sort of record ought to have any right to.

    I will give Hearn credit. He always seems to look after his Boxers, even the lower level ones. Someone like Booth may have even been guided to a decent payday fight, against another Matchroom prospect probably, had it gone right.
