High IMO ATG fighter. Looks great on film. Great record. Passes the eye test for sure.

Top 20 easily. One of the true greats along with Ross and McLarnin in the first assemblage of 4 Kings like in the 80s. 3 great great fightets. Now let us summon Raul to tell us how he isnt even in the top 100 due to some illusory reason.

His resume pales in comparison to the hit lists of the great Shane Mosley and Artur Grigorian

I think of Ross..his contemporary, when I think of Canzoneri. Both simply great fighters.

Pretty high. Amazing and innovative on film. Not stopped in 160 straight fights despite a lot of top flight fighters.

What a finish, that left and right were a blur.
Is it just me or does Canzoneri remind you of Prince Naseem a little bit?
Berg is a strange one, 5'9" very tall and rangy for the weight you'd expect him to be a jabber and a mover not an out and out brawler!
Did they have a 3rd fight and it was a close 15 round decision in Canzoneri's favour?

Anyone know how many world champions Tony Canzoneri defeated?

A multi-weight world champion when that actually meant something, top 30 all-time and certainly a strong case for a top 10 spot at lightweight.

Yes, it meant something to be the world's Featherweight and world's Lightweight champion.

I didn't miss it, I just ignored it because it was irrelevant to my original post. Being a two division world champion (Featherweight and Lightweight) was a substantial achievement.
