To the bloke who said if this is was over a pint, the argument would have died out a LONG TIME ago. I must say he is very right. Those Liverpudlians love a scrap so lets keep the talk online.

I think at the end of the day both fighters should be respected a lot, lets knock the argument on the head now.

No one should be knocked for being a social worker either though, a good social worker can save a kids life in more than one way. Know what you were saying though I dont think any of us on these boards should knock ANY boxers that step into the ropes at any level, especially (as with these) the very highest level domestically Loved the MC Hammer stuff though haha.

Anyway any of you scouse lot know where I can catch the Haye fight this Saturday as i'm up your way haha.

 

I knocked tony after the fight because of what he said in terms of being out of the ring for 12 months etc. He had 4 months plus notice for the fight, and was apparantely in the best shape of his life.
End of the day i respect any one getting ito the ring and throwing leather, brave brave people to do it IMO.
I also respect tony and smigga both coming on here, defending their corners, and ultimately giving each other respect. But you can't expect on a forum for people to not pick up on things fighters say and do. I just gave an opinion that i felt tony should maybe not have said anything about not having fought for 12 months. He knew that when he signed to fight.
If that was a deciding factor, then fine, but to me it shows a level of disrespect to his opponent.
ut on the otherside of the coin, he still got into the ring knowing that fact also. So ultimately i DO respect him for fighting, but not for using it as an excuse after the fight.
By the way, loving how i have become a social worker all of a sudden!!! Am thinking about a career change soon though....
