    Fortune is hardly unknown.

He was virtually unknown to the boxing world before facing Lennox Lewis.
He was 11-2 with losses to Buster Mathis Jr. and a kickboxer called Patrick Smith (who was never anything close to a ranked pro boxer, having a 3-2 record).
Fortune was a nobody in the heavyweight division.

Tony Galento? The guy that scored a brutal knockdown on Joe Louis? The guy
that beat the crap out of Jackie Gleason in a back alley? That guy?

Lewis KO's him mid fight. Lennox stays outside and jabs Two Ton after a first round clinch that
grossed him out due to Tony's hairy body sweating all over him.

Yes, but there's no good reason to believe Galento gets dispatched quicker, assuming we're imagining the best version of Galento and appreciating Lewis's style and method against certain types of opponents.
Even a dreadfully out of shape Galento lasted 8 rounds with Max Baer who absolutely wanted to kill him. And a better version of Galento lasted almost 4 rounds with a fired up Joe Louis, who was forced into a fire-fight with him.

Lionel Butler was in the worst possible shape for Lewis, he gassed out getting into the ring.
Despite Galento's appearance, we know at his best he was capable of fighting 10 and 15 rounders.

Yet people want to say Galento can't even last as long as Botha !
Despite Lewis having a style and mind to make it a more prolonged beating.

I'm not knocking Lennox Lewis. I think he'd have no trouble with Galento but it's not a "one punch, 5 seconds, first round" knockout or whatever people think they have to say just to get the point across that Lewis is levels above Galento.

I've said Lewis in 4 rounds I stand by that.

EXTREMELY unlikely that Galento wins, or is even truly competitive. But, He likely lasts longer than Botha did on that night. A truly putrid performance by Botha. Not in shape, wasn't throwing punches, no defense, hands by his sides: an accident waiting to happen.

To the question at hand: Lewis TKO/KO in 5-6 rounds.

I knew who he was and he went on to be something more than that.

Well, "unknown" is a term not to be taken too literally.
I wasn't suggesting he drifted off the plains wearing a poncho.

What a mismatch. Galento would put pressure on him so bad he would quit inside of 5 ends if he didn't get knocked out before hand. Galento left hook was deadly.even if he missed you it would wobble opponent's backwards from the sheer force.

Let's also not forget he knocked out Jackie Gleason a no nonsense guy if you aggitated him in a street fight.

A short swarmer of 5'9 who also drank during fights,Lewis would be too tall to land on him in his tall man stiff overatted skills.Galentos wild swings of constant pressure send Lewis crashing down.

    Lewis UD.

Louis had to KO Galento, since he didn’t have the size, style, nor reach to stay on the outside and tag him with jabs all night like Lewis would.

Galento outboxes Lewis to a very one sided decision

I can't see how anyone would even argue that. You have bar room brawler type 9 inches shorter slower and vastly inaccurate punching against a big plodder with a glass jaw who never fought anybody worth ATG status like Galento.

I know you're being sarcastic, but Galento did say that he had the easiest time against tall fighters because tall fighters had plenty of frame to hit.
