Nope, your logic is ass backwards. By your logic Rahman shouldn't have lost to Holyfield, Tua, Ruiz, or Oleg because he beat ATG Lewis, but in reality, he did lose to these men. I didn't even introduce any logic equation, I just demolished yours, have a nice day. Why am I contrarian? I believe Galento will win and explained my reasoning. I guess we should all just agree on everything...that will be fun.
No ,I think you're upset I'm still here. TBH. Mr M's description of what you are attempting to do equates very well with," polishing a turd." I guess I'll have to get a bigger pink bench to accommodate all these posters you think are my buddies . Serious question Mongoose Dan,is this really worth it to you? I mean to say, you left in high dudgeon before, like the little boy taking his ball and going home to Mummy because the game wasn't going his way, how long before you short circuit again? You don't want an ulcer do you? Maybe it's time to take stock? I'm going to finish this finish this glass of red and hit the sack ,so nighty night Mongoose Dan.
And one more thing Magoo, I'm waiting to hear how Galento's entire career was a farce to make the Joe Louis knockdown look good. I can't even see the logic in that.
So there is an "ignore" feature. Well that makes things easier. Show Ignored Content Page 6 of 6 Nope, don't think I will be doing that.
No. That wasn't my reasoning at all. My reasoning is he had better wins than Galento. You said he didn't. And in fantasy match ups featuring men who existed 60-70 years apart you have to factor those things. I don't base my entire argument on Rahman beating galento on the Lewis win while you're trying to make the Lewis win dissapear. See the difference ?
I never said his entire career was farce . But I DO think his credentials are inflated and presumably to make Louis look good. Frankly I think if Louis blasted him out in two rounds with no drama ( the way he should have ) no one would give a shlt about Tony beating Harrison Thompson or whatever the hell his name was.
His argument seems to based on the idea that Galento would win by fighting dirty AND get away with it. Not inpossible I suppose but also not a terribly stable basket to put one's eggs in.
I never said he had a better win than Lewis. And what does that even matter? Oleg doesn't have a better win than knocking out Lewis and he knocked Rahman out of the ring damn near twice.
It's simple. You listed Rahman's scalps and said they were better than Galento's scalp. I said...well outside of Lewis, I think Galento's list is better. Which reads as " I feel Galento has the better overall collection of scalps, while Rahman's is thin outside of the signature win." You don't have to agree with that, just understand that's what I'm saying.
And if Rahman didn't knock out Lewis, would anyone care if he out pointed Monte Barrett in a fight that has had it's legitimacy questioned as much as Galento's alleged home cooked fixes? And I don't get the fixation here with the worst guy I listed. You are the one trying to make names disappear...at least I said "outside of Lewis" It would be like me blasting you for listing the possible fixed fight with 2 Guns over and over, and ignoring every other fighter you listed. This sparring session between friends passed off as a prize fight is actually filmed and there for all to see. But you don't see me bashing Rahman with it over and over, and pretending he didn't fight anyone else. This content is protected
Not my entire argument and that's obvious to anyone that can read. And your buddy knows that's not my entire argument either. So... Why do you keep talking to other posters about what you think I'm saying when I'm right here? Maybe you two should get a pm box, because it looks foolish.
Galento is one inch shorter than Mike Tyson but has 1" more reach. How important are the numbers again?
