    I’d say a 50/50 fight. Ward is a very clever fighter, who is excellent at exploiting his opponent’s weak points and I could see Tony having a hard time landing clean on Ward, but if Tony connects Ward would most likely get stopped.

    About 30 years ago I remember Jimmy Carter telling me that Al Gainer, who was around Ward’s size giving Galento a worse beating than either Louis or either of the Baer brothers gave him. This fight was on the same card as the first Louis-Schmeling fight and Jimmy swore that Galento took a worse beating than Louis did that night.

    Ward never even fought at cruiserweight let alone heavyweight, I don’t know if he is good at fighting significantly larger opponents

    Galento was a big man who hit hard and Ward couldn't take his power.

    Yeah, Galento wouldn't care about being outboxed. He'd rush at him and attack with power. KO for Galento, if he's motivated and in decent shape.
