Williams had right style to beat Galento, but I'm not sure about his durability. I think this would be a stoppage either way.
Actually, this is a pretty good fight. Galento was durable and could hit hard. Williams could hit hard, but not as durable but not just glass chinned. This could truthfully go either way and I'd slightly lean towards Galento. Just very slightly.
In the Liston fights, when Williams would dig in and crank off a left hook, his right hand would get miles away from where it should have been. Potentially a problem against a guy known for his own left hook that isn't afraid to punch when Williams is punching.
Awesome fight. Williams is a class above Galento for me and would probably just be hitting Galento too hard and too often. And was a fair bit better as a boxer in general to not get clobbered by Galento.
